I have a couple of items up on Audiogon. One item retails for $9000 (Still a current product) and I believe that I am asking a fair price of $5000. So I receive an offer for $3500. To me that is pretty serious Low Balling. Especially considering that the ad has only been up for a couple of hours. I could maybe see if the ad had been up for 3 weeks and the item hasn't sold yet, but for a new ad? If I were interested in a similar item I'd offer something like $4250 - $4500. A still substantial discount off the asking price, but not insultingly low either. So am I wrong in considering such an offer Low Balling?

Interesting to note the level of detail in the US/non-US Reports David Carradine Dead, Star of "Kung Fu" and the "Kill Bill" Found Hanging in Bangkok Hotel Room - ABC News "other body parts" David Carradine found dead in wardrobe of Bangkok hotel - Telegraph Earlier reports were more specific, but I can understand discretion at such a time.

So after some time looking for a job I've been accepted for a position in MD that matches what I'm looking for. I have a car and all my belongings are here in CA so I'll be driving across the country to my new location with my essentials. I'll be shipping the nonessentials since it'll be easy to do so as they're still packed in moving boxes from my separation. My father will be travelling with me to help split the driving duties. As I haven't done a cross-country drive before, I'd like some input on the planned route which is this so far: Los Angeles, CA to Baltimore, MD - Google Maps I've mostly kept to the I-40 as I heard it's the better route to take, though I'm…

I think we can all agree that audio is a pretty subjective hobby, and that we all have different tastes and preferences, not to mention that we hear differently as well. With that out of the way, we move on to what happens when we start debating the merits of various gear, I may think "gear x" sucks while someone else says it's the best damn thing since the invention of modern contraceptives. So far I think we're still in the region where it's all just opinion, and everyone's viewpoint has equal or almost equal validity to it. But what happens when someone makes a clearly unsupportable statement and claims that it's just his opinion and that his word is worth as much a…

I think it's time to retire my crappy digital watch, so after some light research it seems an Omega should be a decent middle ground watch for the mean time. But I still don't know much about its movement, and I don't really want to start poking around on watch forums Is it possible to get an Omega (basic stainless steel) for around $1300 new, preferably from an AD? How frequently will they need to be serviced? How durable is the watch face? I should add, that I prefer a conservative look, one that will go well with slacks/shirt and tie, scrubs, jeans, etc. Any other recommendations or advice about these watches or any others in my price range? Thanks guys.

  22. My long run plan also includes a 24' long portable Santa "house" (built on a trailer to the maximum height 13'6" and width 9'), which will also double as the "garage" for my sleigh. But the house (Part Two of stepping up my Santa game) will have to wait until next year. In the meantime, I have no clue where I'm going to store this sleigh, which is over 14' long (main body) and I'm not sure, maybe 9' or 10' high with the hood up. I'm not thrilled with my color choices. The main body was intended to be a distinctive red, as opposed to an orange-red, so I may have it repainted once it arrives in Cayman. Thinking something more on the lines of a candy apple red, but not …
