I am surprised there has not been much of a talk of the Focal Clear headphone here yet. I bought a pair from Justin a few months ago during a promotional sales. It’s an impromptu buy mostly prompted by Tyll’s review and the fact I had just built a SS Dynahi. Don’t ask me why! So in trying something new, HeadAmp is now offering the Spirit Torino headphones from Italy. These are my 3 favorite models...I'll have to do a lot more listening to see which is definitely the favorite, but all of these shine in their own way. The Radiante is a closed back and may be the most interesting of the bunch. Anyone going to be at the DC meet next weekend? I might also look at doing a loaner program for these. Hi, I'm in the process of fixing up a HE60 I found in very poor condition. I've replaced the pads and headband, and thankfully the plastic housing is in pretty good shape. The cable seems like its the stock cable, but with a very shoddy stax retermination. The previous owner took very poor care of them and listened to them for years with a Woo Audio amp, and unsurprisingly the drivers are on their last legs (intermittent pops and high pitch whining when plugged into an amp). Hey guys, need advice from your infinite wisdom. I recently lost my Shure SE425, therefore I need new earbuds. As good as they were, they lacked bass for me. As a beasshead, Im now looking for earbuds that have extreme bass, don't really mind compromising over quality of the rest of the spectrum (I have an HD650 for audiophile listening). I don't really have a max budget, but if it could remain under 500$, that'd be awesome. Also, I will be driving them with my phone's headphone jack, no portable amp (I just hate addtionnal bulk in my pockets). Thanks in advance. Well...these arrived this week via the Gilmore express and to make it easier for anybody looking for info on them, a new thread it is. As Kevin documented before, the amplifier is a dinky little thing and a direct clone of the Stax SRM-001. The amp is pretty much useless though as it doesn't have any volume control and you can't use it from a portable device as it needs a full 2Vrms input signal to reach usable volume levels. So I've had these headphones for a bit and have used them with my laptop for a while, and I notice that in quiet songs especially there'll be crackles and static noises far too often for me to like. I use these while connected to my phone, however, and I have no static issues at all. My previous headphones attached to the laptop didn't have any issues either. Do I just have a defective pair of headphones? And if so, can I do anything about it? (They're refurbished so idk if that matters or not)Rufus MapQuest UpToDate

I just purchased this amplifier and have a couple questions , but first I never used headphones and just getting started and would like some advice which manufacturers of headphones would mate well with the Mjolnir Audio Dynalo Bipolar 2 .
