Hi H/C i am helping out a customer at my bar now and i have reached my limit to where to get this. He wants me to print out the top 50 albums of each year from 1980-2000. I looked at rolling stone, billboard, etc but i found nothing...even after a Google search... any ideas? Thanks in advance Billy D

Seeing BlessingX's post over on the ",..listening to" of "My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts" reminded me that I meant to post a link to the Byrne/Eno site where you can download the multitrack session for a couple of the cuts from that album (which I just plain wore out when it was first released). Damn, I had missed this (April 15, 2013). In my opinion, the best trumpet player to ever live. A huge musical influence on me even though I was a percussionist/timpanist (my twin brother was a very good trumpet player, with the Northbrook Sym. for a number of years). I met him probably around 1980 or so when he was guest artist with the regional symphony orchestra I played with when I was in school. Holy shit what a great show! That guy knows how to spank that plank! And the whole band was tight, they were really on last night! It was kind of a weird venue, a high school auditorium. There was a sign on the wall saying that max occupancy was 1250. The acoustics were superb!

I'm not really familiar with Aphex Twin, but I found this awesome mashup: http://www.100dbs.com/mixes/aphex/ I'm not a huge fan of mashups, but some of these cuts are awesome. The last one with Kool Keith is amazing, and Breathe And Stop (Q-Tip) is much better than the original imo. The other one I really like is Time's Up For Freeman, Hardy And Willis with O.C. The rest are ok or kind of bad, but definitely listen to those 3 if you like hip-hop or Aphex Twin, or music in general.

As of late (and by late I mean the past year in its entirety), I have been radically drifting away from the current rock hits to the older stuff, the classic rock, as well as a lot of old Spanish music (Julio Iglesias in his younger days, for example). Though I still enjoy an occasional listen of the current stuff, I find the older stuff (made around the 70's and 80's) much more intriguing. Whether to attribute this to me getting older and thus requiring a more mature listening, or that the new stuff just doesn't seem as inspired/complex/imaginative/clever/etc as the old stuff, I cannot say. So I was trying to look up a recent purchase -- Prokofiev "premiere" recording of Queen of Spades with On Guard for Piece -- and I wandered over to their website which led me to their online store, which appears to sell (in British Pounds Sterling) lossless audio. Anyone know what resolution theirs are at? I see "24/96" on the corresponding CD page of most recordings that interest me, but the CD's are obviously not 24/96, and I see nothing on the audio download page.
