I was living in Walnut Creek, CA. I think it was '92. I was getting ready for work when this video came on. I'd not heard the song before. When my roommate/best friend came down a minute later, I was balling like a baby. He thought a family member had died, and when I told him it was the video he laughed at me. By this point in time I had lost multiple friends to AIDS. And my macho, redneck, Texan Father had shocked the hell out of me, by completely accepting my homosexuality. This song/video still makes me cry every time I hear it.2 points

Not perfectly but they did clean up. I asked twice and was assured it was cleaned but by the time I got there I just wanted to get it home so I let it go.2 points

Decided that I want a fun little sport car and this was the most cost effective way to achieve that. It's also very good looking in my opinion. As predicted by many the coolant line clamp in the lower part of the car had not been pushed on hard enough and came off.2 points

I would just trade up to a Ford GT if I was you. Better safe than sorry I say.2 points

Roomba is an expensive toy. And then it breaks. Then the battery dies. Rinse and repeat. Very bad waste of $450. My dogs also don't like it.1 point

Looking good, Chris. They've done a good job cleaning it. Looks like a fun car, I hope you enjoy it a lot1 point

http://simplicityvac.com/freedom-standard We have a Simplicity freedom vac... Very light weight, practically drives itself and has a very long cord but the bags are rather expensive and hard to find locally.1 point

More similar than not. The primary changes are in the power supplies with a few in the digital circuit.1 point

Was looking at those the other day. $600 in new car seats is definitely cheaper than a mini van1 point

Thanks I will do that tomorrow. I took a look and they did a pretty good job but it is obviously still on engine block as the smell isn't gone yet. Combi Coccoro, they are amazing compact car seats.1 point

That's great, Dreadhead. I suggest you do your best to get the coolant out of the engine bay if the dealership did not. If you let it cool, wet the engine bay with the water hose at the house at lower pressure and apply Simple Green and let it sit a while, you'll be surprised how effective it can be. You can apply pressure with a rag or the like for tough spots if need be...watch the aluminum / metals and paint bits and if you have dark plastic valve cover(s). Once the coolant gets baked on, it's much more difficult to deal with (i.e. polishing compound type hard). Car looks great. Enjoy! HS1 point

I think it's safe to say my friends and family will not be browsing a car thread on a headphone forum and know who this grandenigma person is. Just asking no one mention anything on Facebook.1 point

Nice plank. I think I'm going to do the black cod again when we have friends staying over this week because I used only half of the marinade. Sorry, Mikey, but you'll have to wait for the next batch. :/1 point

Best not to dwell on it IMHO. Enjoy that new car smell and find some new favorite roads.1 point

i've discussed my 007A imbalance with sam a few times since he was in the same boat. unlike sam, i was not able to send mine in for repair/exchange as i bought mine second-hand, pretty much brand new, but used nonetheless. when the imbalance first came up last august, i tried to put it in a bag w/dessicants for about a week. nothing changed. i hit the crap out of the left side to see if it would "fix" itself. nothing. i opened it up to see if the connections were all intact. no problems there. so, i stuffed them back into the ziplock w/the dessicants for the last few months. just took them out, fired up the KGST, and fuck me - they're fixed! WTF? i know spritzer and purk have told me that they often correct themselves (somehow)...but fuck, i'm pretty stoked right now, listening to these bad boys out of geoff's kick-ass construction. anyway, i hope it's not too good to be true and hopefully won't shit themselves again...but just an update. thanks those of you who have been following my whinings and not just telling me to fuck off. appreciate it. UPDATE: and...imbalance is back. at least i know shoving it in a bag for three months can fix it...haha. oh well...it was good while it lasted.1 point

You are going to love the Focus ST. Hopefully a bad first impression doesn't sour you more than it should. Mistakes happen.1 point
