  1. I have to say the Aeons have been a pleasant surprise for me. Excellent closed phones and easily near the top of the heap in the under $1k market.

  11. Yes new update and yes Tapatalk is becoming super spammy, I can pay them to get rid of those ads but may just remove support for it. Not really worth it anymore with the mobile theme(s) being decent enough. Also switched to a new dark theme option called 'Deflection' it's a little cleaner looking I think.

  13. I know Steve's gonna have field day with this but... I once had the same issue. Found a wellness clinic that did colonics. I got one, albeit humiliating. It worked like a charm. It got whatever was eating my gut. Haven't had a problem since and I'd say that was 10 years ago

  17. Yes my good sir. I don't like changes but it is kinda good. I don't like fb like reactions but I can just keep doing the "heart" thing. Long story short, I like it.

  19. I picked up one of these off ebay to isolate the dragonfly http://www.analog.com/en/design-center/evaluation-hardware-and-software/evaluation-boards-kits/EVAL-ADUM4160.html#eb-overview It's really neat, solved the noise I was hearing with my tube gear. It allows you to use bus power, isolate the bus power and provide your own while also providing the downstream power. Or, you can provide separate supplies for both up and down. I'm using bus power right now, but will experiment with a separate supply. I was thinking of using the power output from one of those portable battery packs. Does anyone know if the power from those are noisy? In theory it would be cool to have a battery supply but I have no idea how the voltage is regulated and it could be just as noisy as the bus power.

  20. That isolation eval board is pretty cool. It cured the noise I was hearing when using the dragonfly with my tube gear. I'll eventually be making some cables to see if there's any difference. Does anyone have a good source for A and B connectors and hoods? I found these at mouser, but they don't have hoods https://www.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=KUSBX-BP-KIT-SCvirtualkey51700000virtualkey806-KUSBX-BP-KITSC https://www.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=KUSBX-AP-KIT-SCvirtualkey51700000virtualkey806-KUSBX-AP-KITSC

  30. Tapatalk has been updated again after the forum software update I did last night. Should be working again, but apparently Tapatalk has lots of ads now. I can get rid of the ads by paying them a monthly fee, probably going to just remove Tapatalk altogether in the near future. The mobile theme(s) are much better than they used to be, makes Tapatalk a bit redundant.

  36. As a side note, did you guys know that "The Girl From Ipanema" was originally titled "The Girly Man From Ipanema"? It just didn't flow off of the tongue, so was subsequently changed.

  39. About clean room. My sr007 had developed an imbalance and when I inspected the drivers I found grey hair under the dustcovers. Not only one piece, was it human hair or from the brush of the Stax technician I do not know. The headphones came from PJ but Stax repaired them after some effort they had replaced both driver. I am not sure either the hair was the cause of the imbalance. I have the picture of a piece of hair somewhere.
