  2. With access to both factors of two factor security, you can access anything secured by that. That's true of EVERY single high security account I've ever had.

  4. so pars posted this. http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/group-buys/315474-pure-tube-es9038pro-9028-9018-akm.html#post5259820 all sorts of wrong. lets start with the fact that current output D/A converters really like driving a zero impedance. 27 ohms is not a zero impedance. So with +/-1.2ma you get +/-32mv and then you use the tube to amplify the crap out of it. Nope, definitely not the way to do this. All sorts of noise etc... a while back there was bakoon and audio-gd pointing fingers at each other as to who designed satri and when. so here is the satri version 4 circuit satriic.PDF and here is how audio-gd turns it into both the I/v converter and acss current output and voltage output (one at a time, not both) audiogdiv2.PDF performs better than anything else I have seen ideas in progress as work on the ultimate dsd/r2r dac

  5. For the first time in ...for-fucking-ever, I'm actually taking some photos, editing them and posting them online. Wrangling Flickr for the first time in years is an amusing and frustrating experience. I've hated the "new" UI for years now, and I find accomplishing fairly basic tasks with it to be a right royal PITA. Several of the large groups where I was a member have disappeared completely (RIP the hugely active Macintosh group). I barely remember how to embed images via Flickr at this point. IMG_1505 Edit 2 Infrared photo I took 5 years ago almost to the day, with my IR-modified 5D and my 35mm F/2. The 35 has a broke AF motor, but that has never stopped me from using it. I spent ages converting this image to black & white with a high contrast blue filter and then duotoning it in Photoshop. IMG_1852 Ancient historical of a ferry boat ...in the spring of 2016. As I have been doing a bunch recently, I converted this image to black & white and duotoned it in Photoshop. IMG_1848 Edit 2 One of my old favorite tricks, taking the law of thirds to its illogical end. Lots of ocean texture. Mangled heavily in Photoshop to make it look like a historical remnant. IMG_1853 Edit 2 Faux Large Format Shot: The Shenandoah, as photographed from a ferry. Converted to black & white and duotoned in Photoshop. Cropped to 4:5, which is still my favorite aspect ratio. IMG_1917 Edit 1 The most recent shot of the bunch, I took this last May during my previous visit to MV. I only got around to editing it this week. Converted to black & white using a yellow filter and then duotoned in Photoshop.

  6. I consulted with Kevin and there is an option to replace the servo with a trimpot similar to what was done on the original Dynalo. I use a 10K trimpot (10K - 20K should work for supply rails between 24VDC - 30VDC) with the wiper wired to pin 6 of the servo OP socket and the two outer legs to V+ and V-. With no input connected, I adjusted the output DC offset to 0V and it only drifts about 3mV from cold start to fully warmed up.

  9. two factor is something you have and something you know for rsa tokens, the something you have (rsa token) provides you with a number, adn the something you know (your pin) extends that to provide a 2 part answer for yubikey, its a pin and the yubikey for iphone to reset your icloud account, you need the passcode for the phone and the ability to receive apple's device specific message to that specific phone you're required to know something, and physically possess something

  12. I think he would certainly argue this! The first album I ever heard of theirs was after peak Lynne -- Time in 1981 -- but was also probably the first "concept" album I was ever somewhat aware of (at 11) as a coherent narrative/thing. Fully blew my tiny sci-fi loving mind. Wait, full disclosure, I also saw "Xanadu" in 1980 and it gave me feelings about Olivia Newton-John that I didn't know what to do with.

  14. Not going to debate with you, but ECP L3 & DSHA-4 are amazing with the HD800. My HD-800 + L3 combo is near the KGSSHV + SR009/SR007 level.

  15. Hm. I disagree, back when I had the 800 I tried loads of amps to get them right but I just dont like the headphone. Its not natural sounding and cant reach the low bass. If you force it you get distorsion so its always a compromise. The Leben CS300 tube amp was kind of a fun pairing but hardly a purist approach

  24. Anyone about to build this, Megatron, etc and don't want to use a dropping resistor, I might have some spare power supply boards for tube front ends soon. Works up to 250V no problem, 300V is possible if you find caps that fit and heatsink appropriate parts properly.
