You could do like I do with audio gear. Leave it out of site till you forget you even have it. After it's value goes down, then think about selling it. Then don't because its not worth the time and effort.4 points

Rick just released an interview with Joe Satriani. I was never a fan of his but he has some great stuff to say about music and being a musician.3 points

Home Recording Sale is on at Sweetwater. Some decent deals, including the Luna Creators Package that I paid $700 for at $400 and the Warm U-87s for $499. Might get a pair of those for drum overheads.2 points

Machine Gun Kelly - Tickets To My Downfall Yeah.... I'm surprised this is as good as it is. Travis Barker produced it and you can really hear that Blink-182 influence. Some of these tracks are pretty slick.2 points

Helen had given most of her money to charity years ago. She lived in Australia in a small apartment, on a fixed income. She said she was the happiest she'd ever been. Glad you had some good years, RIP. RIP Mac Davis.2 points

We had the same 8 track. As a kid, I thought 'Hard to be Humble' was hilarious.1 point

I’m a huge fan, thanks for posting. Yes, the influx of “shredders” is his fault, from when he was teaching, but he has a musicality that most of his alumni do not.1 point

I'm working on making some raised panel doors. My landlord has a rental house somewhere north of Sacramento, and I guess he had some tenants that managed to break 5 solid oak cabinet doors. He couldn't find anyone who could make replacements in any sort of timely manner, when he asked me if I could make cabinet doors? Silly man! Anyway, I was putting the last frame together with glue and pocket screws, when the bit jumped out of the screw and decided to go all the way through my hand. I was applying pressure because of the hard oak. Maybe just a little too much! Luckily Al's cleaning woman, Toni was there. She cleaned the entry and exit wounds and bandaged me up. I was able to get right back to it. Just goes to show you that any tool can be dangerous in the hands of an idiot. Luckily it was the fleshy part, under the thumb.0 points

https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/police-ukraine-investigate-death-us-embassy-employee-73358211 Wife of a colleague in neighboring Ukraine passed away, today. Authorities are simultaneously investigating murder and accidental death due to a collision with a train. Either is heartbreaking. State is a big organization, and anytime someone connected to the embassy dies it makes the news. I did not know the woman who passed or her family, but she had four children. Terrible news.0 points

Not a celebrity, but a great guy and unique character. I worked with Dan B for 3-4 years, he was a Project Manager in IT. Bright, outgoing, almost always a positive attitude but had a sarcasm streak a mile wide in smaller/more comfortable groups. I often use the Dr. Evil saying "How about NO, you crazy Dutch bastard) in reply to someone asking for something they won't get....that practice started with Dan when he embarrassingly asked me (on behalf of the business users) if we could change what we just worked on for almost 6 months so they could do it another way. I showed him that video clip, and we had a great laugh.... A bunch of us from that company (the survivors as we call ourselves) keep in touch via regular gatherings and now Zoom calls. Dan would always gently bow out (he was farther away, and often very busy). The first picture below is from a long-term friend, and the later one is more how I knew him. Not sure of cause yet....but still too young!! RIP Dan, another one of the good guys gone....0 points

Yikes, Al! The fires have been ridiculous. My mother was evacuated for nearly two weeks due to the Creek Fire in Central CA, she got to go home recently, but much of the area I grew up in burnt to the ground, including most of the town I had my first job in. It's pretty surreal seeing the Governor and Senator of California giving a press conference in front of the smoking remains of your elementary school playground, but such is 2020. Hope your sort-of-MIL comes through this OK. For as much burned in the Creek Fire, I was also amazed at how many homes they saved despite fire raging all around them.0 points
