I just picked up a bunch of wine from my locker and now it seems that a case of wine will not be enough. Also I am a bit worried that we don't have enough oven space to cook all the food. There better not be any wind so I can use the BBQ to help out with the roasting. Perhaps now would be a good time to introduce the Russians, Italians, French and Czech people to Spam. Shits about to get real real. ?

Unbeknownst to me, this fucking disappeared at the party. Some of it was actually stolen. I guess I’ll be making more.

I personally am not convinced that there are true correlations between the events as stated in the article. Just because I pumped gas in my car one day and the oil price went up the next day does not mean I drove up the demand of oil that caused the price hike.

In the Sun – Jane Monheit Looking forward to trying this DualDisc ? in my Sony UHP-H1. Seems to work ok in an external LaCie DVD-RW drive with the MacBook, but it's probably reverting to lossy audio (Dolby Digital 5.1), not DVD-Audio.

Toroidal transformers are not completely symmetrical, because of the wire exits. The usual way of reducing hum induced by the asymmetry is to leave the leads long (or solder on temporary extension wires), loosen the chassis fixing and rotate the transformer to minimise or reduce below audibility the hum. Then tighten up the fixing bolt and tidy up the wiring. Also make sure that the primary, and secondary wires are twisted. Open wire loops can induce hum and buzz in signal circuits through simple transformer action.
