Yeah, these look like they're facing outwards from the vehicle. And yes, I realize deep bass is non-directional, but...aren't drivers designed for better dispersion etc. from the front -- they're not designed to have the optimal response from the backwave. Also, they look wrong. So that's just out. They look like those passive baffles or whatever it is that Wilson-Benesch do.

Amplifier, The Octopus -- contemporary prog -- bombastic (in the Beatles/Flaming Lips way, not in the Mahler way), a little all-over-the-place...I like!

And perhaps have the drivers FACING THE RIGHT WAY!

Regarding the video/shootout -- I wish they had used a higher-res source -- analog/live sound, perhaps? I mean, they have a whole studio around them. Running a CD (16/44.1) into a high-res convertor doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Little Boots, Hands -- synthpop on the order of Goldfrapp, Kylie, et al. Quite retro and very pop, but with some strong songwriting underneath: Little Boots - Stuck on Repeat

And the stylized "s" logo is a little too close to what would be the font for the Beats "b" -- this is one lawsuit I actually think is Monster's.

We were getting a lot of double-posts, and we're seeing if keeping the threads shorter helps with that, because it seemed to be more with the longer threads.

Actually, you're kind of agreeing. The alternative viewpoint could be phrased thusly: ...they won't sound different, then they probably won't. And I don't know of any DBT that could refute that particular placebo effect. And kudos to all for keeping this potential charged subject civil. Cheers!
