I don't know about you nate, but I'd rather have the dac from the 840c without the transport for $400 than the dac from the 840c for >$1000.

I'm more curious about the analog stage than the chip used as a dac.

I find it hard to imagine a way that releasing a browser would be considered evil. Hell, people were glad when microsoft introduced something to compete with netscape back in the day. It was only when they started "embracing and extending" standards that people decided that IE was evil.
