March 15, 20179 yr ^ I acquired a pair of Ether Flows. On 14/03/2017 at 0:58 AM, RudeWolf said: Looks great! How much was it grand total? Hey who's counting? This is Head Case dammit. ... around $320US plus shipping.
March 16, 20179 yr at 75 pieces it goes down 30% I'll take some time this week to see if I can get a proper dollar amount

April 3, 20179 yr That looks fabulous - and I love the color! How did you get that finish, because the cases look like the eBay-ones that are normally silver? //UFN
April 3, 20179 yr Those were a GB ang728 and I ran locally. It was supposed to be silver, or grey, or gun metal - at least in our imagination. We ordered something like that. When the factory gave us some pictures of those...Say 30 of those. It's simply too late. It was done by accident and I assume it's impossible to reproduce again. I believe something was wrong in that anodizing sink. Who knows. I love them a lot. Because of the color, the power indicator is also green.

April 4, 20179 yr You seem to have a very fruitful collaboration, ang728 and jeohpj. Congratulation to really nice amplifiers.
April 21, 20179 yr Hey guys! What's the currently approved best solution to cool mini Dynalo transistors? @johnwmclean , did you have much luck with thermal tape?

Options are limited; 1) Use a permanent epoxy/glue and risk not being able to access parts again. 2) Use non permanent tape/glue and risk the heatsink becoming loose and shorting something. 3) Let em run hot. I’ve adopted option 3, have measured ~74°C, with an ambient of 24°C after an hour fully cased. Not ideal, but not catastrophic and well within running spec.
April 21, 20179 yr Thanks for the info! I have considered glueing small carpentry nails to each of the transistors. Epoxy or super glue might hold them well enough.
