July 14, 201312 yr That's not the esl57 rig. That's the esl63 rig, and its in England, not Germany. the original esl63 panels were white plastic. the esl57 panels were gray with a wood outside.
July 14, 201312 yr Author ^ I was going by the filenames on the JPGs. Herge drew this exact model of apparatus in a Tintin book. IIRC, it was The Black Island.

I think that rig is the old 57 setup from the old Huntington factory as it was all shipped to Germany when the production was moved. The panel on it is a ESL63 but the setup is the same as for the 57 with that flat oven at the end of the track to heat set the mylar.
