  • Look what I just found at my door step...

  • I am moving Kerry's mini GRHV\GRLV GB discussion to its dedicated thread here. I also included JoaMat's mini T2 here to see if we have enough interest for a GB. The table will be updated periodic

I owe everyone a long past-due update.

Long story short, I injured my right hand in early April right around the time we set out to test the final boards before sending the Gerber files for estimates. Actually got parts ordered and delivered but I was way too optimistic with the recovery schedule of my hand and I am finally to the point I think I can handle a soldering iron. I am back in touch with Kerry to sort out a few things needed for testing.

Apologize for the lack of communication for weeks. Hopefully we will be back on track with the GB soon!

Do not worry Michael. The important thing is that you are well.

Taking the time to get well is the #1 priority. All else is just a DIY hobby.

Don't push it. Get your health back first.

Get well bro...  I know all about underestimating recovery time tables.  I had major ankle surgery in February and I'm still on crutches lol

Take care of yourself first!  This is just a hobby, no rush.

Wish for your quick and complete recovering!

Thanks guys for your kind words. I hope to have better news soon!

Yes, get well Michael! You'll get back to it sooner or later, and no one expects you to do the prototyping until you feel up to it.

But Michael you have two hands... use the other one!!!

... best of luck getting 100% better!

I reserve my left hand for some very special purposes, hehe!

Quick update of status;

Some changes are needed for the GR78xx and GR79xx boards. Working with Kerry to get new boards fabricated for testing.

Good news is, with the delay, a couple of parts that were out of stock everywhere in April are now back in stock so we don't have to settle with substitution parts for testing.

Depending upon the price,

I would be interested in 2x GRLV78xx and 2x GRLV79xx

Thank you.

Just finished designing the GRHV79xxx, which is the negative rail.  I'm going to order some boards and test it out as well.  Maybe add this to the group buy if it works :)

On the testing front I'm done test the GRHV78xxx.  I've made one small change to the board and will test that as well, but looks good.

The GR78xx-Micro looks good and will test the GR79xx-Micro shortly.

Michael is making some progress as well and I hope we can get this moving sooner rather than later :)

PS  I'm happy using the 7V reference.  It requires less current which reduces heat and works well.

Please add me for 1 set of mini T2(2,1,1,1,1)

Quantity of 1 for the mini T2 represents a pair of left and right channel boards.

Thanks.  I edited my request above.

Briliant! Damn excited by the perspective of those miniature HV supplies.

You are never short of wonders Kerry, are you?

One day I'll have to study those relay attenuators. The coding (which you provided) and Arduino thing have always seemed too complicated for me ?

Is it too late?

Please sign me up for:

2x GRHVxxx
1x GRLV79xx
1x GRLV78xx
1x Main Board

1x miniT2

They look very good Kerry!!!. What size SMD are you using? it looks relatively small.

The same thing happens to me with the "digital" theme. I see it too complicated and I need a lot of help (more than usual)

The resistors on the digital attenuator are 1206.

For the HV supplies the resistors are a mix of 1206 and 0805.
