  • I'm watching the news that three asshats have been found guilty of murdering an unarmed jogger in Georgia. Thank you to the jurors for being human.

My sainted mother is visiting from Marthas Vineyard, so I've been showing her a few old films.  Last night we watched The Black Cat (1934), which stars Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff.  Both men were at

"Epitaph One" unaired Dollhouse episode that Joss Whedon did on his own dime -- pretty fucking good, if you ask me. Interesting. Dark. Quite a departure. Depressing. Topher's performance was particularly poignant. I also liked how they thought his area was a day-care center.

Good to hear... I have it and have been meaning to check it out.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (season 1)

I'd probably get all stuttery and childish around Neil Gaiman, so take this with a grain of salt, but I thought Coraline was an exceedingly good childrens movie for adults. Children would be freaked the hell out.

Avatar The Last Airbender season 2 episode 2. Enjoying the show more than I expected.

By all means, do not let that stop you from ever getting to hear him speak. He is as disarmingly charming and interesting and entertaining in person as he is on paper. All I could basically get out was, "thank you for writing", but I was towards the end of the line, so that's about all he probably really wanted to hear at that point. (Personal signed copies of Anansi Boys and ...er... something else, I forget.)
The Wire Season 3

You are beating me in The Wire marathons. I salute you for not pausing for three days on that Season 2 episode where Callie Thorne is all nekkid on top of Dominic West.

I mean, uh, excellent writing.

I blew through that show with the quickness. It's too good.

Blowing through season 1 of The Wire. It is good and their Lieutenant is a bad ass.

Just finished School of Rock. Just starting Antonioni's The Passenger.
