  • I'm watching the news that three asshats have been found guilty of murdering an unarmed jogger in Georgia. Thank you to the jurors for being human.

My sainted mother is visiting from Marthas Vineyard, so I've been showing her a few old films.  Last night we watched The Black Cat (1934), which stars Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff.  Both men were at

i dislike Vertigo.

I like it but I liked High Anxiety better. Rear Window is the shit.

The Last Waltz on MGMHD...got the blu-ray for my dad, but he never watched it all the way through to my knowledge...

Repo Men. Not very good. When will studios learn to address glarin plot holes with simple dialogue?

A fine updated adaptation. Deducing the actual programme, should be, elementary.

Been watching My Boys for the past few weeks, dumb show but I keep watching it

is there a second episode already? i might give it a shot, but i didn't care for the first episode all that much.

Episode 2, airs today

I haven't watched tv in months, but since I've been procrastinating doing work, I suddenly found the need. I've watched two shows today that I really like and had never heard of: Top Shot on the History Channel, and I've just been watching Rubicon on AMC, which I think is new. Both held my interest, especially Rubicon, a spy-type show, but really well done.

Oh damn it's Shark Week. It's gonna be a good week

I agree. The concept pics of the 458 look bloody amazing, but something didn't quite come through in the actual car so it ends up looking a bit garish.

Top Gear, then Porco Rosso later tonight

Sherlock. First episode was pretty good I thought.

I recorded it and watched it later. The BBC was in conflict with itself on Sunday - Final night of European Athletics Championship followed by Top Gear on BBC2, and bridging across those was Sherlock on BBC1. Why they could think that viewers who like Athletics and Top Gear would not want to watch Sherlock is a mystery known only to programme schedulers.
