Stumbled across  'The Repair Shop' on Netflix.

It's a British show that's exactly as it sounds. Quite interesting.  This is definitely my type of thing. Some wonderful craftsmen.

I've been watching it too. I enjoy it a lot but could see how others would not.

Yeah, me too. I'm weird that way. I love watching things being built or fixed.

Kind of spooky or a lot of spooky?  Looks interesting but sometimes I would rather torture  myself with racing vehicles that are far to heavy and illogical vs scaring the crap out of myself....LOL

Like many Stephen King stories, it deals with the supernatural, but it's more mystery than anything else.

To my thinking, It's looking like John Ross killed her, but Guy Pierce's character seems very suspect as to something.

I definitely didn't have that one figured out!

That in no way implies it isn't worth watching.  On the contrary, I really like a mystery that I can't figure out.

The rules of Spoiler Avoidance may be mankind’s greatest mystery.

On the subject of mysteries, watched a bunch of these this morning...

I was talking about you semi-spoiling it.

I couldn't have been more vague. Not to mention there are no K-Pop stars involved.

... and scene. This completes our lesson on mood.

Re: "Mare of Easttown", it's well-worth watching, if you are up for the basic premise/subject. The first episode is horribly depressing, and almost dissuaded me from sticking with it. But it hits a stride quickly & doesn't have unnecessary filler. I thought I had it figured out, but did not see the ending coming. Winslet turns in a great performance. Supporting cast is good too. Probly even better binging, than week-to-week.

You obviously don't understand "mood" and "suspense", so please just fuck off.

I understand "mood" very well. And I'm hoping you get out of yours soon.

Mare isn’t the only Midwestern mystery out there to solve. If this Memorial Day weekend you find yourself asking “what are the ties of the Protestant Reformation to Old World Amish?” see below. Watched this morning.

It had some twists and turns, and they even made sense in the end.

Has anyone been watching "The Nevers" on HBO? I have, and while it has many problems and is kind of a mess, have been enjoying it. Joss Whedon, who I know has a lot of fans here.

I tried, but I'm just not a sci-fi/fantasy kind of guy.

^ Similarly, I had great interest at the start when it felt something different, but lost interest by the end of the pilot as it got more conventionally genre-focused. I mean that less as a criticism, than to set expectations. Melissa has been enjoying it.
