May 25, 20215 yr Stumbled across 'The Repair Shop' on Netflix. It's a British show that's exactly as it sounds. Quite interesting. This is definitely my type of thing. Some wonderful craftsmen. Edited May 25, 20215 yr by swt61
May 26, 20215 yr Finally watching stuff again, Love Death & Robots season 2. So far, so good, as good as season 1.

Looks interesting but sometimes I would rather torture myself with racing vehicles that are far to heavy and illogical vs scaring the crap out of myself....LOL HS
May 29, 20215 yr Like many Stephen King stories, it deals with the supernatural, but it's more mystery than anything else.

May 31, 20215 yr That in no way implies it isn't worth watching. On the contrary, I really like a mystery that I can't figure out.
May 31, 20215 yr The rules of Spoiler Avoidance may be mankind’s greatest mystery. On the subject of mysteries, watched a bunch of these this morning... Edited May 31, 20215 yr by blessingx

May 31, 20215 yr Re: "Mare of Easttown", it's well-worth watching, if you are up for the basic premise/subject. The first episode is horribly depressing, and almost dissuaded me from sticking with it. But it hits a stride quickly & doesn't have unnecessary filler. I thought I had it figured out, but did not see the ending coming. Winslet turns in a great performance. Supporting cast is good too. Probly even better binging, than week-to-week.

May 31, 20215 yr Mare isn’t the only Midwestern mystery out there to solve. If this Memorial Day weekend you find yourself asking “what are the ties of the Protestant Reformation to Old World Amish?” see below. Watched this morning.
June 1, 20215 yr Has anyone been watching "The Nevers" on HBO? I have, and while it has many problems and is kind of a mess, have been enjoying it. Joss Whedon, who I know has a lot of fans here.
June 1, 20215 yr ^ Similarly, I had great interest at the start when it felt something different, but lost interest by the end of the pilot as it got more conventionally genre-focused. I mean that less as a criticism, than to set expectations. Melissa has been enjoying it.
