  • I'm watching the news that three asshats have been found guilty of murdering an unarmed jogger in Georgia. Thank you to the jurors for being human.

In honor of the Pike’s Peak hill climb this weekend.

Talk about a pair of brass ones....  Woof.

Spectacular point of view...thanks for posting, TMoney!

I watched a documentary on 80s Group B rally and I can’t believe the danger those folks took on. Unbelievably fast cars on unbelievably scary rally stages. The drivers were insane, but are now true legends of motor sport.

The Pike’s road is paved these days but the runs up it are still legendary. The climb streams Sunday morning on the Mobile 1 YouTube and Facebook pages.

Posting in case there are other Kaufman fans. Currently stuck in a YT loop with some stuff I've never seen.

On that note, well worth 12 minutes of everyone's time...

Unsure most of you are going to like it, but perhaps it's a glimpse into what's wrong with humankind and our future.

Oh, nevermind, completely different usage. Carry on.

Pretty good episode of the Trump show today. Profiles in Courage by Josh Hawley.

I find it hard to watch, if only because my heart wants so much for them to prosecute him, but my head doubts they ever will.

So frustrating.

Learning about the greatness of Disney.

A reminder of what's really our merit. Or perhaps god's will :D

[short clip] On a TV appearance toward the end of his life in 1988, Serge Gainsbourg was surprised by a choir of children (Les Petits Chanteurs d'Asnières) in full Gainsbourg regalia--black jacket, gray wig, sunglasses, Whisky, cigarette, unshaven-and brought to tears by their homage to one of his classics "J'e suis venu te dire que je m'en vais".

No commentary (media) - just as I like it.

If you need a program -- https://int.nyt.com/data/documenttools/order-of-service-the-state-funeral-of-her-majesty-queen-elizabeth-ii/e506247f5e4c2545/full.pdf

I had some tears here and there.

Similar,  settled on

Ignored the talking heads ("what does it mean to you?") until they mostly let the event speak for itself with some minimal added context - plus some royal historians straight out of central casting, with insights of recent additions (like using naval ratings instead of horses to pull the gun carriage / coffin C.1901)

Pagentry, pomp and circumstance, and Joanne thought the choral music was on point.

The gathering of the heads of state alone would have made it an historic event on the world stage.

Definitely some poignant moments.

I don't know how I missed this a few years ago. Always enjoy a BBC documentary series. And if it is a parody of one even better.
