B&W enters the headphone market

Featured Replies

What's wrong with their speakers? I've heard 685, 683, 804s and 802d and they're quite nice.

They've got some rather spiffy new desktop speakers, too. Active biamped, with onboard USB DAC and headphone out to run cans off them. $5 says they sell these in the Apple Store.

that's a weird way to do it.

yeah, these headphones are pissing me off for a reason I can't rationally explain.

I like their look & cable entry design. Overall, seems quite logical.

Of course, they'll need a re-cable to sound their best. Maybe some new pads as well. :P

doesn't look that bad though..kinda look like the new JVCs.

I mean, you can recable it the Mikhail way where you leave the original wires in the cup and then splice the huge jena cable on it :)

Goddamn if the N64 hat doesn't just sell the whole thing. I love Patrick.

Hahahaha!

I'd be interested to see if anybody has anything good to say about these. Quite a few people entering the headphone industry lately.

I want an N64 hat. I love the N64.

I would like to hear them.

A sensible comment if ever there could be one in a thread like this.

...they’re the ultimate mp3 headphones, giving you the same incredible, lifelike sound quality...

Something about this statement makes me unhappy. Promo material aside though, I'd like to try them.
