Well if he does I'll call him on it because he's clearly stated that he wasn't going to do that.

I do hope he stays out of that sector but the allure of selling black boxes for oodles of money with not a whole lot invested can be hard to resist.

i actually thought it was him under a different name on diya. but i guess the design has been adopted for sale by others who are selling built amps. didn't have all the facts before posting.

My O2 came in a few days ago. At first I was concerned about build-quality since the attenuator came off the first time I touched it. It went back on with a little effort and an allen wrench. I got around to listening to it yesterday and was surprised - it may be one of those "good for the money" deals. I haven't really listened enough to comment on the merits of the amp design or sound quality, but my initial impression was positive. I was feeling good about it until about an hour ago when the thing crapped out on me. The right channel produced nothing but static. I have confirmed that it is definitely the amp. I guess we'll get to see what customer service is like.

I emailed them 24 hours ago and haven't heard back yet. We'll see how long it takes.

I was going to order one from them but changed my mind and now waiting for the desktop version, probably from other builders.

Have you tried charging it? the batteries may be flat

have you tried putting it in a hydraulic press? It may have excess particles.

I'd recommend repetitive blows with a hammer. can't get much worse really...

About half a kilo of C4 strapped to the O2 sounds about right.

That will put the bangs per buck back into the purchase........

I suggest nuking it from orbit. Only way to be sure.

Charging it didn't work. I'm going to try nuking it next.

Are the opamps all secured in their respective sockets? Also, maybe check for bad solder joints.

All of the opamps look fine.

For now I'm mostly treating this as an exercise in seeing if Epiphany Accoustics will stand behind their products. If I don't hear from them, then I'll crack the case open and start diagnosing the problem.

I looked at their website and see no mention of a warranty. Did I miss something or are you simply SOL with no warranty for them to stand behind?
