I almost missed this and that would have been a shame. Hope you are having a fantastic day Antonio! Feliz Cumpleaños!

Let's see, you must be 35 by now? Have an incredible birthday old man! Time does fly! You were my first friend in this headphone hobby. I have enjoyed that friendship immensely. First closeby, and now further apart. Your entire family is beautiful! Though I wouldn't recognize half of them today! 🙂

  3. Hey everyone- I'm in a bit of a pickle. I've run out of kick ass speculative fiction to read, and I need recommendations. Sci-fi/fantasy is such a scary genre to navigate. One second a book's premise seems promising, but then it delves into childish writing and predictable situations. I'm a short way into Peter Brett's The Warded Man, and it reminded me of these types of pitfalls. Of course it is hard to trust amazon-type reviews of fantasy, because not all fantasy readers are as discerning as me, you, and everyone else who likes good things. Anyway the premise starts out awesome: demons come out every night and try to kill people. The only thing the protects pe…

Hey- In the past three years I've held various branch level positions at a monster mega bank. The pay has been decent enough for a single person with no mortgage or other major debt to speak of, but I've long since grown weary of the job, and to be perfectly honest without trying to sound arrogant, I'm too smart for this job. I very recently finished my degree in English. My original intention was to pursue further education and a life in academia, but that no longer feels like the right path. So I'm considering going to part time or no time and returning to school for a completely different degree. I'm considering either Accounting or Computer Science. I'm v…

  13. For some reason I've been asking myself this question over the past couple of weeks and have enjoyed thinking about it. I'll preface this by acknowledging that it's an impossible question to answer and I don't expect anything resembling a conclusion to be made. I only intend to spark debate--hopefully. I whittled down my list to Chekhov, Beckett, Borges, Cervantes and Kafka. I finally settled on Chekhov for his ability to shape his stories on simply how we think in contrast to how we behave and ultimately how we feel about it. He distilled the human condition into it's most basic and most recognizable state seemingly without artifice. I haven't learned more about peop…

OK...this may be a stupid question but I've been wondering about it. I own a 13" Mac Air that I've had for years and I use it mostly for this kind of stuff. Surfing, email, posting, music, etc... I can type pretty good so I really like the Mac for this kind of stuff. I find using my old iPad mini a PITA due to the typing. Same thing surfing with my iPhone. So....what are thoughts on getting an iPad Pro and getting a keyboard for it and using it as a replacement for the laptop? I'll likely keep the Air, at least for a while, as I like it and I don't need to sell it. But if the iPad is going to frustrate my efficiency in getting around the web and emailing, then …

Be just like the Cool Kids, with their fancy Vinyl. "Why would anyone buy vinyl in this day and age?" "To be really cool," says Mark Wadhwa, one half of the pair behind the Vinyl Factory, which in 2003 rescued the EMI vinyl pressing plant in Hayes from closure. "Everyone can download. If you've got a vinyl record you're different." Vinyl: The business duo who believe it's got a big part to play in music's future - Telegraph

  23. Started by thrice,

So last night I went to my wife's office Christmas party. There I met her supervisor and the supervisor's husband who also works there....yeah, he and his wife work together. Turns out she was his assistant until she got pregnant....then she was promoted and became his wife. ANYWAY.... the husband is quite possibly the biggest douchebag I've ever met...nay, he's a meta-douchebag. He is the douchebag from which all other douchebags are determined. Everything he said was awful, awful to his wife, awful to his mother (who owns the company), awful to other coworkers (not my wife though she she doesn't work for him). After the evening was through I thought o…
