Sally Ride, first US woman in space, dead at 61. An inspiration to both boys and girls, and something I did not know until today, she was an out lesbian. Condolences to her family and partner. And as stated on other sites, astronauts are badass. Female astronauts even more so. Godspeed Sally.

My girlfriend's office was moved to a different part of the floor and ever since the move she has had massive headaches and all the typical symptoms of an allergic reaction. It affected her to the point where she was doing 20% of the work that she normally did in a day and felt better after taking anti histamines (benadryl) and leaving the office. She requested HR to send out an email requesting the employees not wear perfume to work as there were a few that were bathing in it. That didn't seem to stop it. She went to a physician to get her blood tested and for an allergy test (nothing came up on the blood test other than low calcium). No scratch test was done because she…

The Fires have entered Colorado Springs. The famous Flying W Ranch is on fire, and the neighborhood we lived in 20 years ago (Mountain Shadows) is on fire. We appreciate any prayers, best wishes or kind thoughts this way. Thousands of people are displaced right now on the west and northwest side of town, and may become homeless soon. We currently live on the southwest end of town, and are about 10-15 miles from the closest flames. The winds kicked up to 55MPH earlier, and the fire just took off for the north - it's covered over 3 miles toward the north in the past 4 hours. I would like to move my cable modem and router into the office (one room over from the tv with not much of a wall in between) so to avoid having to use a splitter and remove clutter from the living room. However, most of our tv watching is watching steaming video through netflix or mlb on the ps3. Does anyone have experience wirelessly streaming with the ps3. The router I have is an newish Airport Extreme but I think the ps3 is restricted to wireless g (not 100% sure). I guess I could get an Apple TV for the living room if needed since I stream to those in other rooms and it seems to work well.
