Folks, I'm a non US citizen but travels to US most of the time. Since I took up photography hobby (outside the headphone), I've been exploring the national park/conservation area on every visit. Here are my thoughts in general: 1. Yosemite : Crowded. Not many good spots for hunting (photography wise). You turn your head anywhere its this Half Dome. Most of the spots are easily a within short hike except Half Dome (which I dont have the stomach to climb). Overall I'm a bit disappointed with the park. But seems to me this is the most visited park in US. The gift shop is huge. Maybe come back in winter for some awesome shot. 2. Zion : Like this one. Been there once. Lo…

In a little less than a month I'm going to embark on a unique little cycling adventure. Through the course of 2 days (Sept 8 and 9th) I'll be riding a total of 100 miles through the northern part of NH with a group of truly amazing individuals. I've been working hard in preparation for this and have logged about 1,000 miles in the saddle. It's a "hippier" version of what I've aimed to create here. Howard Rheingold is one of the great visionaries of online community, and he gives an interesting, short interview about the well. It's now for sale, but I imagine it will end up disappearing, and that will be a sad day.

Found these on the train tonight, I noticed an FYE bag on the side of the window and seat as I went to get up. Nobody else was on the train when I got off at the last stop and nobody was at the station either so I took them. Can anyone tell me if these are real? Or fake? Sally Ride, first US woman in space, dead at 61. An inspiration to both boys and girls, and something I did not know until today, she was an out lesbian. Condolences to her family and partner. And as stated on other sites, astronauts are badass. Female astronauts even more so. Godspeed Sally.

My girlfriend's office was moved to a different part of the floor and ever since the move she has had massive headaches and all the typical symptoms of an allergic reaction. It affected her to the point where she was doing 20% of the work that she normally did in a day and felt better after taking anti histamines (benadryl) and leaving the office. She requested HR to send out an email requesting the employees not wear perfume to work as there were a few that were bathing in it. That didn't seem to stop it. She went to a physician to get her blood tested and for an allergy test (nothing came up on the blood test other than low calcium). No scratch test was done because she…
