Another member said something that reminds me of some of my musings concerning how we perceive various types of stimuli. Each format has its own sonic signature. Those people who grew up listening to vinyl have trained themselves to listen through the surface noise and accept the sonic signature, or limitations of records. Hey guys, just felt like bragging... some of you might recall i've been searching since I graduated in May. i just landed a pretty decent job doing software development. The company provides email hosting sort of similar to Gmail and has some pretty good clients. It's a very small startup (5 years old I feel). They are very enthusiastic abotu having me aboard, and hired me mostly for my personality (more so then my non-existant pro experience in coding). I am so dam psyched u guys got no idea... Ok so here is the story.. you all know I have to live at home due to family probelms (not mine but other members) as in caring for someone and helping them. anyway its a great living place really, my parents and I in a three floor house. they leave me alone and we really are almost best friends sort of. so my sister and her boyfriend is staying at the house for the holidays cause they live in utah, anyway... my sister is sleeping down stairs with her bf rite outside my bedroom..nothing bad to me besides no real speaker or headphone time at night just cause I wanna be respectful to them..i really dont mind taking a week off of listening for my sisters sleeping.. …

Just in case anybody was watching.... We're all pretty happy around here today that my friend and former colleague Getty photographer Joe Raedle, AFP photographer Roberto Schmidt, and AFP reporter Dave Clark were released unharmed today after being captured by Libyan forces on Friday. Considering what a nasty place Libya has turned out to be (50-some attacks on journalists and a couple of fatalities in just a couple of weeks) and the circumstances of of Joe's going missing, which weren't auspicious, we were sweating it big time.
