This conversation came up at a 4th of July BBQ last night and it became an animated and opinionated debate. About 75 percent of the men at the party said that they do pee in the bathroom sink mostly because it's convenient. So, how about you?

This will sound damn cheesy, but I love this country. Those of you who know my story of why/how I came to the States will understand my sentiments a bit better. My life would have been much different had I not come here. Happy 4th, everyone!

I got this back in 2007 and have it set up as a 3-caliber kit -- with .22LR barrel/slide threaded for suppressor (not in photo), 9mm threaded for suppressor, and 40 caliber (no .40 suppressor yet). With 2 mags for each caliber, an LED light and Crimson Trace laser grips, and night sights. My 9mm suppressor is the AAC EVO-9, and for the .22 I have the Gemtec Outback II and an LCW Predator. When I took the photo I had both .22 suppressors in another case with my Walther P22 and Beretta .22 Bobcat, but I had a baggie of .22 ammo in the slot for the .22 suppressor. I do plan to pick up an M&P one of these days, and will have to look for a threaded barrel a…

I love them for what they are, my commuter iem. =T The other day after a brisk jog, the left side now has intermittent sound. I don't know where the problem originates from, so I was hoping someone here might be able to take a look at them. Well, either that or if someone is selling a pair, I'd love to take them off your hands. I called Altec Lansing last night and they told me the im716's have been discontinued for 3 years already and that since I was out of warranty for 1 month, they couldn't help me. =[ Any help would be appreciated.

I need to build a new set of steps from the attached garage to the house. I always like the ones a friend of mine has, and went out and bought the materials for them. These are what I would call box steps, but I haven't had any luck on finding plans for something like this online. I was planning on doing these with 2x8 framing on 12" centers and 3/4" plywood. Bottom section would be 5' x 31" and top 36" x 18".I attached a pic of the ones at my friend's house. I'm not sure how the overhang is done on these. Is it just the plywood, or something else? Any suggestions welcome.

By Eliot Van Buskirk Published on June 17, 2009 at 8:30am Carting a crate of used CDs to your local record store so you can make rent is a rite of passage as ancient as it can be tearful. But what about those MP3s and iTunes songs you're ready to unload? Is there a way to sell those off, too, when you get tired of them or just need some extra scratch? A new crop of consumer-facing music stores is focused on helping fans resell "used" digital music the way they do CDs. But the big conundrum with digital music is that there's no way to prove sellers legally own the songs on their computers. There's also nothing to stop them from keeping the songs they're hawking. Unl…

I can see myself looking back fondly at this post and wondering, " Could this be when it all went wrong?","When the wheels came off the cart?", "When I mislaid the 52nd card, loosened that screw, dropped that oar,.." What a wonderful memory that will be. Well, many of you already know me from NorCal meets as that whacko with the reel to reel and after spending a car ride at the end of CanJam 2009 with Jacob (what a charming and unassuming fellow) I just had to register and add my thoughtless and unimformed 2

This is something I've been reflecting on of late, although not in a terribly somber way as the title of this thread may suggest. I guess living overseas (especially in a small place like Cayman) and being an audiophile don't really go hand in hand. The youngish ex-pats are on the beach, scuba diving, and hitting the bars. They don't have houses, they're not "settled" and don't ever expect to make Cayman their home, and they're definitely not thinking about going off-Island to some geeky headphone meet! On the other hand, the more "settled" population in Grand Cayman is, well... settled. Settled in their ways, settled with their work lives, settled with their c…
