Hello so ive been experimenting with the Equalizer Apo settings (peace) and i dont really now what the best ''settings are'' i dont really have a prefrence in music so if it can be done i whould like to have a ''all rounder"' these are my current settings https://prnt.sc/a5irpy is this good or should i change some things?

Bought a bad tube off of eBay, and it looks like something happened and it fried my right driver. I thought it was just the tube, but a few days later when I powered my amp back up with new tubes, the problem was still there. Its hard to imagine this pair being busted: it was the third headphone I bought and the only one I kept. It's been with me since 2005. Anyway, anyone ever have any experience with Sennheiser after warranty repairs? Was wondering if its worth it to mess with them or if I should just scope out a used pair, or upgrade to the HD800. Currently I'm rocking the KSC75 out of the HA-2, and it sounds great.

was just told by my audiophile friend whom borrowed my stats setup - kgss + o2mk2 that during low level listening sometimes a very faint static appear. Try it myself today and yes, it does randomly appear. Only on low level listening and the static was very faint and very short but still my ear can catch it.....anyone knows whats wrong ?? thanks

When I was llving in NYC, I used my Etys all the time. They were great in the subway and walking to work. There was only one time that I almost got hit by bus. My other senses eventually compensated and everything was grand. Here in Ohio I don't have as much use for them, so I haven't been listening as much. I even experimented with a couple of close headphones, thinking that I would benefit from the easy of being able to take them on and off. I settled on the A900. Anyway, I tried the Etys again for a first time in a while and remembered how much they kick the A900's ass. Frankly, it's not even close. I've always been happy with the Etys, but my question to cur…

Does anyone know (a) the part number for the Beyer pad that fits on the Sony headphone, and ( either the URL, or how to order it from Beyer? I can't seem to find it, now that they've revamped their site. I know it's the pad to the DT-250, but that's all I know.

According to Audio-Technica, the w100 never existed. I contacted them for a few parts, and they gave me part numbers for w1000 parts. I wrote back, and said so no w100 parts then? The parts guy told me he assumed I meant w1000 since the w100 doesn't exist. Oops. I don't really blame them, cause the U.S. parts people responded and it was a Japan product. I still thought it was funny.

Hi Everyone I am a new guy to electrostatic headphone world. I have just bought a stax headphone. However, I hear some hum noise on one of my driver. I wonder whether there is something wrong with the headphone or not. I did some research and noticed that we will hear hum noise for all electrostatic headphone during winter time or cold weather. Is it right? thanks

Hi so i am making my own headphones, and i recently bought a 2.1 stereo surround sound amplifier. It has outputs for left, right and sub. My dilemma is this: should i try to do bridged mono to connect the sub output to the right output, and then seperately with the left outputs(and if so how) or should i split the sub and put two speakers in each side(and if so what is a good source for drivers. Well, I've had my first exposure to HD650s using push-pull amplification. I have to say, I'm stunned. I *hate* these headphones single ended, for reasons which I will list here. Their bass is loose and overwhelming; there is a very slight grain to their sound, which is more of a characteristic of most dynamic headphones in general to my ears (but not all); the highs are muffled and obscure the detail; the impulse response is slower than a Geo Metro; the tone is far too warm and there seems to be bass even where there shouldn't be. And I have no idea why Sennheiser decided to voice the HD650 this way - rather I can guess (more bass when underdriven), but I have no idea…

Got a package from Israel today: Its hard to capture the beauty of the wood with my limited photography skills, but they really are gorgeous to look at. First impressions: yeeeeeouch! Man that is a loud upper midrange. \ Which is a shame because a) that is where a lot of my favorite vocals are, and obviously my preference for Grados shows I love a silky warm midrange, and because these cans get so much else right. Pick these up from a fine gent from head-fi. I had a similar set previously that I had to sell to raise some emergency funds. I felt guilty as soon as I did, and luckily was able to find another set. This pair is different, one being the black grado wooden box, and the slightly gold lettering on the L and R (the picture does a bad job of showing it). The cups are absolutely beautiful, and the font is really classy looking. Sound, for some reason these babies sound not only tolerable, but really nice with bowls. When I heard these were being released I just had to get a set to see if they matched the supreme crap that the original was. Now after some delays I picked the set up from the postoffice. I've put around 6 or 7 hours on these so far. They're much, much better than when I last heard them. -the treble isn't as tipped up as I remember (still on jazz that extends really high, it gets a little fatiguing) -bass extension is not very good (audible at 30 Hz, very good down to 40 Hz) -HF extension is good (~18 Khz) -bass impact is an enigma. On certain albums it has a lot, other times you just hear the bass and it's not remotely palpable -some funkiness going on in the midrange, almost like the upper midrange is slightly recessed -soundstage can't figure this one out...the headstage is pretty small. I'm looking for a pair of closed headphone for myself and a friend, and we'll be using them for classical music, with decent amplification. Not looking for IEM's (I have Ety's). I've heard various AT closed cans and they just don't work for my ears with this music, so I'm not considering them. I've also heard the Ultrasone ProLine 750, which also didn't work, but I haven't heard the other ultrasones. Based on the fact I posted my dislike of the Denon D5000s rather loudly (though admitted that they weren't bad cans) on head-fi, I received a few offers to let me listen to the D2000s. I finally took someone up on that, and for the past two days have been listening to a Silver Dragon recabled pair. From what I read, the 2000s were to be similar to the 5000s in sq, which made me think that they might be worth the bucks. I also read that they were comfortable, which has its own value. Just pick up a pair of RS1 that looked a little different one of the drivers appear to be pinkish the other white. They were bought of the original owner and was never repaired. They have the serial number 162 and was purchased around 2004-2005. Anyone know anything about grado using different drivers on the same pair?

Hello all! I am an engineer and a big fan of perfect audio, especially on my headphones. Some time ago, I bought the AKG k612 headphones and I love them. Perfect and clean audio, very open scene and the design! Worth every $ I spent on it. However, the one problem I found is that I am concerned about the headbands distortion, when not using it and hanging on headphone hanger. That's why (as an engineer) I started thinking of the solution, how to store my k612 and be calm about headbands.
