So I told myself I wouldn't play Fallout 3 until I completely exhausted Oblivion. Well I haven't completely exhausted Oblivion, but I thought I'd play Fallout 1 and 2 before I play Fallout 3. I actually never played the original Fallout games. Fallout 1 is great! Definitely holds up, and I'm really enjoying it. Well, up until now. I was doing the Brotherhood mission to head to the glow. I'm not using a walkthrough or anything, but I did read to get some Rad-X and Radaway. I took some rad-x before I went in, and ran the whole dungeon, but now I always die a short while after I leave. Ok, so the Boy wants a video game console. I want to get him one that we can use together. My initial assumption was Wii U, but it is getting mixed reviews. What do you guys think? XBOX with Kinect? Basically, I want something that has good multi-player, non-shooting games. So lots of sports titles and things that the Boy can physically do instead of just using the controller. Anyone ever play Desert Bus? I'm serious.

I've been playing this quite a bit recently; does anyone else on here play? If you haven't heard of it before, it's a realistic zombie survival simulator that is simple AWESOME! Imagine hopping on vent/skype with a few friends, and spending 1-2 hours to find each other, and then try to survive. You can die by zombies, which are all controlled by AI, other players gunning you down (or you can cooperate with them), or by hunger/thirst/injuries, so it is not just another zombie game where you gun down everything you see. Completely, 100% unexpected. The band that hasn't allowed any digital sales thus far, has just signed with Harmonix & MTV for a full game. Hell yeah. Thanks to the efforts of a redditor, some previously console-exclusive DLC for GRID is now available via P2P. It adds 20 new cars and a new track to the game. The files are also available here and here.

Since I live in the orient, where real, legal PS3 games are a thing of the past, I have to order physical games online. I ordered "Last of Us" on father's day (or to be precise, I ordered it and told my wife that the dog ordered it as a father's day present) and finally got it in. Open it up, dust off the never-used PS3, and it can't read the disc. Can't read any other game disc, either. It just makes the "eject" sound, and fails to initialize. FFuuuuuuu... So I order another drive after wading through a goddamn WaReZ nightmare of finding part numbers and sifting through descriptions of long-since unused parts. 2011 looks like it's going to be another busy year for great games and in the next month or so I'll be looking at getting: Killzone 3, Bulletstorm, Dragon Age 2, Dawn of War II: Retribution and maybe Homefront. What games are you guys looking forward to picking up this year?
