  4. Not necessarily today, but eh... Two nights ago, my wife and I stayed up until 1AM wrapping gifts. I am pretty good at it, and so is my wife. I hate it, but she loathes it, so I usually do most of them. This is when my annual "Fucking Christmas..." grumbling comes out Yesterday, we took the trio to Disneyland and left the twins with her sister. For once, we did not have to worry about stroller parking and all that. We stayed the whole day, and it was a blast. Busy as hell, but when is it not? I think this about sums up how everyone enjoyed themselves:

  9. Ended up doing 68 miles on the trail. Got to an area that was swamp on both sides of the trail. Truly beautiful [emoji7]. Tortoises on the trail, didn't see any alligators though, albeit I am sure they were around. I wanted to keep going a bit farther there, however heard some shots in the distance so exercising common sense turned around real quick. Wonder what were they hunting... 12. As they did last year, they're allowing you to download the whole "album" -- if I read it correctly, until January 6th. Noice!

  16. NSFW Seatbelt bruise goes all the way to top of my right shoulder. My back is bruised. Backside of arm is bruised. Black left eye. Skin friction burns on left thigh and all along belt line. Etc. Oh, and I'm now told it's 5 broken ribs, plus one thigh, one ankle, & one kneecap. Feel like I was hit by a truck!

  17. I'm high all the time on painkillers right now. They've got me on a long-acting every eight hour med and a short acting every four hour med, plus 800 mg of Skelaxin muscle relaxant, and Restoril 15 mg at bedtime.

  18. Either that or they have him on just the right amount of pain medication. (Sorry, Larry, not making fun, you do sound like you're holding up well, and whether that's from better living through chemistry, or because you are just plain holding up well, who cares? I'm glad you're glad to be alive.)

  20. OMG. lol I have JazzRadio.com on today at work. Currently, What Child is This? (Greensleeves) is on. Like those two titles would ever appear with something different. I mean, would you ever see "What Child is This (Silver Bells)" or "Winter Wonderland (Greensleeves)"?

  21. Uh...no, you were cranky from the get-go. If you honestly believe that didn't color your interactions with everyone in this thread, then...well, good luck with that.

  22. You can't have an amp that can drive both speakers and headphones equally well. Can't be done and it is shows when team molasses loves it.

  26. Mr. Plankton shilled hard for it and the blind noobs followed suit. If the Rag can make the HD800's sound "not bright" and bass heavy, then guess what, it's a dark sounding amp and not transparent.

  27. at the thing is the Angie and Layla are totally different than the 13, 16 and Roxanne from a design standpoint. The 13,16 and Roxanne are all stage monitors and are designed to replicate live sound (think like bass or kick drum experience) and all it's physicality. The Angie and Layla are designed around the studio environment so in effect the Layla and Angie will sound more alike than the Roxanne. If you like the JH line sound house sound then just stop whining about the fact that there is something more fucking expensive out there and the (oh god help me ) I don;t have the bestest there is wha wha wha... Your shit is still great I'm pretty sure it didn't change because Jerry made some new shit. They only difference is now you don;t have the perceived TOTL. I live studio monitors so the Layla is right up my alley most "audiophile like consumer high end speakers with designed in EQ to bump the bass, warm the kids and sweeten the highs.

  30. I think this picture has been posted here before, but I know that guy. He was in the gun club I was in when I lived in northern Va. He usually had that on a tripod aimed at his front door. He was one of the folks I knew who worked for the company that put the back door in openssl, and being hired to do that by the FBI turned everyone I knew there kinda paranoid. Apparently the armorer's manual for that has a comment that says while it's not particularly effective against tanks, it's great for morale.
