Agreed. I've basically lost all interest in SBAF other than for breaking news, meets, and the for-sale thread. Sounds like another prominent headphone related website we all know. I've never been quite sure quite what to make of Mike Moffat as an engineer. Anecdotally, some of the things he says publicly leave me scratching my head. While he does have some impressive innovations under his belt, being first to market has never seemed as important to me as being good. I have met him a few times and that didn't clear anything up. I own his current two top DACs in Yggy and Gun-MB, but I'm no where near confident enough to say that I hear big differences between those two and my Sabre based Oppo 105. Then again, I'm also getting to the point of satisfaction where a new component or headphone has to make a huge difference to even pique my interest.3 points

Yeah, I think pretty much everyone at HC is at that point. We've also been through many, many FOTMS, enough to develop very keen bullshit detectors.2 points

Had a jointly prepared meal with Claire's sister and her GF who gave me the Deep Run Roots cookbook, written by the owner of the Chef & the Farmer restaurant. I made the cornpone, collard greens, creamed collard greens and pickled collard stems. Sister in law made Brussels sprouts, apple and pomegranate salad and glazed pork loin over rutabagas and pork belly. Claire made the pecan-chewy pie with chocolate gelato dessert. Great recipes and we marveled that the meal wasn't heavier.2 points

Update: TMoney is able to view from Tapatalk, and he can log in in incognito mode from a browser, but still unable to post in even this, a thread he created. **BRENT**1 point

Sorry, but now you've just inadvertently started a conspiracy. It would be hard to imagine that TMoney has done anything to get banned, especially since Todd just implied that. Any off the record conversations would create controversy, unless there is some actual action we're not aware of. I'd suggest a payoff TMoney. Baked goods for all high rollers would be a good start.1 point

The amazing Taj Mahal, built in the mid 1600's for, in today's money about $1Bn. The image only tells part of the story. There are more axes of symmetry. The red-ish building is a kind of lodging for visitors to pay honour to the tomb of Shah Jahan's wife could stay. But symmetrically opposite is an identical building which was a mosque. Jahan's problem was the entire workforce (20,000 of them) headed off into Agra to pray several times a day, so he had a mosque built on-site. Then he built the lodging to keep the symmetry correct. Of course he nearly bankrupted himself building this. But, keeping with symmetry, directly opposite across the river he started building a black marble mirror image of the Taj Mahal as his own tomb. He got as far as getting the foundations dug and a few courses of marble laid when his son had him arrested before he spent every penny. He put him under house arrest in conditions of considerable luxury, and with a window so he could see the Taj Mahal in the distance. Agra is a real dump, with massive poverty and beggars by the thousand - and it is where the Taj Mahal is. If you ever get to see it, go there in time to see the dawn - the white marble is astonishing in the light of the sun as it rises.1 point

Grilled some steaks on the deck in shorts, T-Shirt and sunglasses in January. Not sure why the Illinois people claim Illinois winters are so difficult.1 point

Had my last Dr. visit for my finger. As it turns out, I had the story wrong. It seems my finger did indeed contact the saw blade, as my co-worker told me he found tissue on the blade. The other surprise is that the tissue under where the fingernail was has hardened. It is turning into a fingernail. Having lost one before, I know that's what happens, and the deformed nail, then grows out and usually flattens into a more normal looking nail. Pretty amazing how fast the finger is healing, and I'm very happy with the results. Much better than I expected.1 point
