  1. Compared to the half Shure tip you mean ? Definitely yes. The shure tips behaves imo as any damping material, you tames the peak but you tame the whole treble including Frequencies below 4khz. It's not that much a benefit Imo. With the SDR which acts more as a true resonator, you absorbs specifically 5-6khz but the 4khz remains untouched ( at least on masurements I trust) . It's much more useful imo because i consider the issue is the gap between 4 and 6 khz . Stock gap is around 15db measured on a flat coupler ( it does not mean it accurately represents what we hear IRL but at least it's a reference point) whereas the gap on the HD800SD is reduced to 10-12db. Here are my own measurements : Yellow is HD800SD, Red HD800 , Green HD800S . Please take these measurements with a grain of salt , they're very amateurish. By the way , the mod does not use cork

  2. Bike shopping with Xavier today. He fits a medium Kona. I'm getting old. More than we want to spend since he isn't a huge mountain biker, but it's high on the list. If you think the bike looks cool, you'll ride it, right? **BRENT**

  7. Zero is being kind. I picked Wisconsin, and in fact having them winning the next game as well, but Duke going to the Final 4. Actually, looking at Dave's brackets above, my East is identical to his.

  9. If you read the AV club review that is so filled with errors I am not convinced they actually watched it. I would say the first episode is on par with Luke Cage, which started out slow. All of the Netflix Marvel series spend a lot of time filling you in if you are a virgin to the series. I am going to keep watching because every one improved over time, including the acting. Not everyone can get into character as quickly as De Niro.

  12. I have a lot of friends who are MTSU grads. I didn't realize they were there, or any good, but I saw more local basketball talk last week than I had since UTC(hattanooga) made it and was picked up by Jimmy Fallon. http://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/article/2017-03-16/march-madness-no-longer-underdogs-middle-tennessee-makes Maybe I should go watch that game against Butler at some local bar. **BRENT**

  13. I had the Tyll version of the Anax mod. I changed to the Super Dupont mod to see what the difference was. Not going back. These are keepers.

  14. I purchased a Pono player at the Kickstarter phase. The damn thing sounds really good, I guess the Hansen engineering had something to do, but other than the couple of Herbie Hancock albums this edition had loaded, I haven't been tempted to buy any of the Pono's music. Since it has a big capacity due to the support of microSD cards up to 128GB, I use it when away from home for a few days. Not using it on daily commutes, the shape is just nuts and very impractical. I wish they had made it in a regular flat prism shape.

  19. Not sure which is worse, that ponosucks website layout or the fact that some idiot decided to make a DAP in the shape of a triangular prism, and a bunch of other idiots along the way didn't stop it from happening. Someone should make one in the shape of a horse and call it Ponee

  25. So I never thought anything on the Disney channel would ever be for me, but on the recommendation of a friend I've been giving Star Wars: Rebels a shot. Wow, Rebels is actually pretty darn good! Someone had told me that Rebels is a better Star Wars experience than the 3 prequel movies. I think they may be right.
