Watched Bob Odenkirk defend his family in Nobody as I slotted together IKEA KALLAX bookshelves. By the end I'd say we're similarly manly, give or take.4 points

Looks great! But with the change of just one letter (and no pics) it takes on a very different meaning! Only on my mind as up here in Maine Karen and I went out for dinner and I thought I smelled weed going out to our car..... 🙂4 points

Clears arrived today. Now, for someone who hasn't listened to anything better than the HD650 and SR-Lambda for almost 10 years, let me just say.....Jesus fuck these things are good. And this is just from my phone! I've only got my Crack at home which is a terrible match, can't wait to get these to work to pop them on a proper/suitable amp. But for now, I can hear visceral and crisp bass that extends down seemingly for ever, incredible detail in just about every part of the frequency response, and it's all so alive in a way that the HD650 just can't match. The overall tone is spot on to my tastes. I can completely understand where they will come across as 'too much', where there might be sheen, and I completely agree with @gepardcv that the headband comfort could use some work. All things considered, color me very impressed. I've definitely missed a lot in my time away.4 points

I ordered the Clear Mg, waiting for it from my semi-local dealer.......looking forward to checking it out versus the original (and on the best amp I know for them, the ecp DSHA-3F)2 points

Happy Pride Month to all my LGBTQ+ friends and allies! Love, acceptance, and a desire to live together as a community will conquer hate, fear, and ignorance. May we eventually come together in peace.1 point

I roast my own coffee but it's nice to sample professional stuff too. I searched the thread and did not see this here; it's an awesome service, pulling from something like 400 roasters all over the country: https://www.drinktrade.com/1 point

Drove around and explored some of the area around our place in Maine. Couple farmer's markets, antique places, and more. This lovely piece wasn't even in a flea market, but a regular store (a chain called Reny's). I cannot fathom why someone would want one of these EDIT: I call it Cowpigen (a la Turducken)1 point

I agree...a bit of a PITA unless you are on a day off but it's pretty darned yummy. And a nice change for one that's been using a press forever as I had been when I tried it a few years ago. Time...what a trip in this environment. Feels almost non-linear at times as I think back on the last year plus... HS1 point

Only if powertools were involved. A hand held screwdriver still leaves you in semi-sissy status. 😆1 point

Tried the Hoffman method. Bit of a faff, and not something to do if rushing to get to work - but the resulting coffee is to die for. Has real depth, but without the bitter edge from the regular French press method. Win!1 point

This is head-case, who gives a shit about thread discipline unless you're some rando?1 point

Oops! Just realized we were discussing Clear in the Utopia thread. Maybe we should move it to the dedicated Clear thread?1 point

I also have both HD650 and the original Clear. In a nut shell, I think of the Clear as the “HD650 on steroid”. I hope I get to listen to the Clear MG soon and see if it’s worth “upgrading” to. I would love to hear how the comparison goes from skullguise.1 point

I looked into the MGs when my Clear order was delayed. From what I could tell it's pretty colored which ended my interest. This is a good comparison:1 point

Aw, man, the pics got deleted. Anyway, morbid warning: this is a story about a death, and it's very sad. If I seem intolerant to bullying, it's not because I feel bullied, but it's because I think we should practice not bullying, so that we can be legitimately and righteously indignant to the real bullies. This is bullying to the extreme. Fuck Kiwifarms.0 points
