Thanks, everyone! Back in December I was hoping to do a bigger party, but then Omicron happened. I ended up having a nice dinner with family and will hopefully do something bigger with friends once the COVID wave is fully broken in late February or March.4 points

Just your standard run-of-the-mill Ambient Avant-Garde Piano Folk music by a lovely Armenian woman....😄 Actually quite nice with some neat sound touches.4 points

Thought I'd share a little tip since I'm building and installing double gates on a trash can container. So I'm building a large bin to hold trash and recycling containers, as well as loose cardboard. This is for a bookstore we're building for a repeat client. I always get annoyed when two gates don't line up perfectly. And installing two gates and getting them to line up can be a pita, especially if your working alone. So some years back I developed a better way to do this. First I build the bin, then take the measurements for the opening where the two gates will live. Then I build the two gates as one unit. I make the top frame and bottom frame full length. I put in my rail supports, and leave a strong 1/8" between the middle rails. I've already started cladding the gate frame with reclaimed lumber, but you can see the small gap in between I'm referring to. After cladding the gates, I then set the gate assembly in place using shims at the bottom to ensure each side is level with the top of the bin walls.2 points

I almost missed this one. Have an amazing day. The weather sure was cooperative.1 point

Same as Al, Barrina 8T from Amazon. Super light and easy to hang up, even with all the obstacles in my garage.1 point

Belated happy birthday Adam! Maybe we can go to the postponed Pliny the Younger day as a postponed birthday! Cheers!1 point

Two times too early to go! Meat Loaf again?! I yelled that out RHPS midnight shows many a time. Never really got into his music but they were fun every once in a while, and like as Todd said were huge in my youth. And Louie was only ten years older than me! Glad that Baskets was one of his last shows because he was genius in that role. RIP Louie and Meat1 point

How are you attaching the the two sides of the gate where the 1/8" gate is? Decided I need to do some more meta woodworking and build a proper miter saw station. Going to clean off some space, remove some built in shelves, and build a station. How are you liking your setup so far, Al? Also need to decide if I just roll if my old Hitachi saw (which has been a work horse and pretty solid over the years) or move to something hopefully better.1 point

So much for zero retention. And this was with bellows, on the Niche. The OG is truly zero retention, but this is autistically good enough, so I’m going with it. Two beans, maybe?* *there ended up being about .1 grams stuck on the inside of the dosing cup. I’ll tell you one thing: the VST basket grabs the niche dosing cup. Aggressively. Be prepared for it.1 point

Meat! RIP! I first learned of Meat while watching Fight Club. I thought it was hilarious that someone would call themselves such a stupid/hilarious name. The fact that he played "Bob" made it even more funny. Later I'd find Bat Out of Hell, Rocky Horror, and his other works. I love him as a performer. Listening to his stuff is one of my favorite guilty pleasures. Everything he does is always over-the-top-as-hell and that makes me happy. Glad he'll be reunited with Jim Steinman in the thereafter so that they can keep on suing each other and making music.0 points

RIP Meat Loaf. Aged too early at 74. Was lucky enough to see him live a few years ago, with the same female vocalist from Bat Out Of Hell.0 points
