Thanks, guys. I feel for his wife and kid. My dad was about Sam's age when he died, and I watched my mom go through losing a "soulmate" and I went through what it was like losing a father way too young. Still really bummed about this.

**BRENT**

RIP Morley Safer, last of the great early 60 Minutes correspondents.

RIP Sam.

It seems like all the Vietnam era newscasters are about gone.

Those guys were all about trust and not entertainment.

RIP Morley!

RIP Morley!

I agree that the original 60 Minutes reporters were really about the news and trust.  However, 60 Minutes is probably the program that woke network management up to the fact that the news could be profit centers. :(

RIP Mr. Kwouk.  One of my favorite (non-PC) lines ever from a movie: "...where are you, my little yellow friend....?"  And then he pops out of the fridge to attack.....

RIP Burt Kwouk.  The Pink Panther movies were a must watch back in the day.

At least he was a full thirty years older that Sellers (who died aged 55)

RIP Burt Kwouk.  I loved most of the Pink Panther movies and Cato was a big reason for that.

RIP Mr. Kwouk.

Could not get enough of those movies in my youth...

Totally agree.

RIP Cato!

That was a comedy routine I just couldn't get enough of!

RIP Makiko-san.

I'm surprised that nobody has posted about Maya Angelou's passing.

"In her full life, she wrote staggeringly beautiful poetry. She also wrote a cookbook and was nominated for a Tony. She delivered a poem at a presidential inauguration. In 2010, President Barack Obama named her a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the country's highest civilian honor. She was friends with Malcolm X and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and inspired young adults and world celebrities. She sang calypso. She lived through horrors."

Cheers to a very full life indeed. RIP Ms. Angelou.

So true Al.  RIP to an incredible woman, and a superb example of humanity!
