I hope it was already split. I remember the one year my parents cheaped out and bought un-split logs. Nothing like spending the summer making large pieces of wood into smaller ones.

I did the same, but for some reason I enjoy splitting wood ???

Listening to them now. The difference in bass is quite marked over the 650s. Not sure yet which I prefer.

If you're at all like me it'll vary from amp to amp.

Sounds like a solid argument for keeping both! ;D

Let's see-

two Headphones by

two different amps by

two different scotch brands by

two different women----

Wow the iterations are almost endless!

I'm loving vocals on the 600s. Maybe I actually like things a touch less syrupy? Maybe it's just new gear syndrome? Maybe I'm lit? Phucknose.

are you using that new GS-X?

I wish. Have a GS-1 on order, but it will be a few weeks yet.

that's what i meant, GS-1. the 650s don't sound syrupy to me on the GS-1.

so from now on, when jacob says GS-X. it means GS-1

make a mental note yall! ;)

Why the :palm:?

i need more audio stuff, like i need a hole in the head. :P

plus my portable rig doesn't see much use and i didn't really use my other iems that much so we'll see how this goes...

Too bad you couldn't make the Sunday Tyll event in Beuna Park. Dan the man himself was there and a very conversational guy as well. Please let us know your impressions.

Zap Filter modded E5 ...

I heard it sucks ... at least that's what I keep telling myself

modwright 9100es arrived today finally. pics and such will have to wait till tomorrow

Very curious to hear what you think about your newest source tkam. Positive Feedback, Dagogo (whatever that is) and even Steve Motherfuckin Hoffman all seem to love the 9100es. Looking forward to your impressions. Enjoy it!

Nope. The output on the zapfilter is pretty hot though and tends to make people either love it or hate it. Still, with good volume matching, a zapfilter modded E5 can certainly play with the big boys. I prefer my new CD player, but it is really a matter of preference/sound signature.

I think Earl has experience with zapfilter modded sources though, so the output level shouldn't be a problem for him. Congrats buddy! :)

I guess I should have used a smiley and made the small print easier to see. I sold Earl the modded E5 and, although knowing better, listened to it for a while before packing it up for shipment. :( The 840c isn't really better, just different and more flexible with the digital inputs.
