Hi Steve!

Went to Bernie's Burger Bus.  I wanted to get this (two applewood smoked bacon grill cheeses used as a bun for two signature beef patties, each topped with cheddar, "tipsy" onions, and all the fixings)

 

 

but instead I got this (single burger patty with bacon, cheddar, tipsy onions, chipotle aioli and a fried egg).

Next time I am going for the double patty with grill cheeses as buns!

It was pulled pork and was serious yum!  Some of the best I can recall having.  Bhjazz, if you read this thread, I highly recommend campfire bbq, which has popups at various places around the city.

 

Shelly, that burger looks like a hot mess in the very best sense.

Awesome, Colin and Shelly.  But, Shelly, this is HC ... shouldn't you have gotten BOTH the double patty with grilled cheese buns AND the single with bacon, cheddar, tipsy onions, and aioli?

My mom makes a nice oxtail stew for the holidays. I've never had it in soup, but it looks great!

Ric ... I'll take your word that chops tasted good.

I ditched them for a family dinner to celebrate Alden's birthday, which is later this week. I was also exhausted and ready for a nap.

And I'm not sure I can believe those chops were enjoyable in that form. Maybe you should heat up a pan for a quick sear next time.
