  • Same as every gay bar I've ever entered.

  • We lost power for about 12 hours which is nothing, all things considered, and we've got the generator/transfer-switch so it was really only out for 4 hours because I didn't feel like setting it all up

  • Side benefit of all the late snow, the ability to snowshoe with the kids.  Got andrew out for a little walk in the woods this afternoon.

I shot this on the way into work this morning. And 2-3" more is expected tonight. This is by far the latest in the year in Colorado that I've ever seen snow and I've been here more than 20 years!

Definitely time to resurrect this thread.* Peeping out my window, it's currently not snowing(!) I estimate there's just over two inches on the ground now. Of course, the storm is supposed to keep going until 6PM tomorrow. :palm:

*I had fun searching for it, BTW. What's with "F**king" and not "Fucking"? This is em-effing Head Case, innit?

It's continuing to snow rather heavily around here - I'm not going to look how much snow is on the ground already.

Stay safe mates, the pics on today's newspapers look worrisome. Here we're having a lot of snow in the north, but not here.

I just went outside for a second. Man, it's really windy out there. Very nasty. Curiously, there hasn't been much accumulation beyond what was there last night. I might stumble out in a bit and take a pic. The wind dies down, that is.

Just finished doing the first round of shoveling. Nowhere near as bad as I expected. We probably got around a foot, but it's light snow.

The wind is bit nasty, though. Thought about taking my camera out but decided against it as blown snow was quickly freezing against anything it hit.

We got a shit ton in NYC last night. Shoveled twice last night and about to go out for another round.

Double post.

Hoboken this morning on my walk into work. This evening looks much the same, but now the sidewalks are mostly cleared to the level of the streets (as opposed to being knee high like this morning).

Overall, the snow was a big letdown for me, not that I'm complaining. Supposedly, it met the blizzard criteria, at least in Boston area.

They got 80 inches in the Bishop/Mammoth Lakes from the recent storm.

I think Jacob's meds kicked in and he decided to alter the thread title a bit.
