  • Turns out the damage was a bit more severe than a bad cable. They could still be repaired for less than the cost of a new pair, but not enough less that it seemed worth it. So new Etys are on the way.

  • That's because you're supposed to put them in your ears!

  • So the LCD3 Zebrawood showed back up tonight and I think I just bought a pair. Rob, you get the LCD5 and we'll compare and see if they're worth it, kay?

YMMV, but local RadioShacks here have Klipsch S4 and S3 for 19.99. S4i (iPhone compatible controls) for 39.99$. These are normally 80, 50, or 100$ respectively, so 60-75% off.

If you swing by, maybe check the clearance bin. Heh, I just got word that some dude at the store went and picked up the S4i after my buddy found the S4 and called me.

**BRENT**

You've probably seen it mentioned elsewhere, Google has dropped $100 of the price of the (unlocked, Android 4.3, GSM) Nexus 4

 8  GB = $199 (+ Shipping + Tax)

16 GB = $249 (+ Shipping + Tax)

Maybe Pair it with Straight Talk (MVNO AT&T or T-Mobile) ?

Pre-empt that other stupid cheap phone?  or to clear inventory before the Nexus 5?

Please please please make me a (reasonably sized) Nexus 5 for Sprint.  I am damn tired of my super slow Nexus S.

Gets me excited that a new Nexus could be closer than Nov/Dec as expected, but we've seen so few solid rumors, hard to believe a release is imminent. Possibly they are lowering the price well in advance of the new release, in order to avoid the clamoring of "but I just bought the old phone a week ago at the same price".

Looking hard at the new Nexus for the wife. I'm still loving my Note II.

For the musicians:  Musician's Friend's Stupid Deal of the Day becomes Stupid Deal of the Hour for labor day weekend (same link, I was just being funny).  They do occasionally post room treatments, isolation platforms, speaker stands, headphones, and monitors, which others may find interesting.

EDIT:  Just found out -- they're actually being very nice about it and letting us get some sleep -- the "per hour" is only from 6am to 8pm PT.

For any HCers who haven't yet bought KF and would like to (unlikely) or any that DO play KF and want to lure others into doing so (much more likely), the "KF Complete Pack" (base game + 13 pieces of DLC, does not include the newest skins, Community Weapons Pack 2, or Golden Weapons Pack 2) is available as part of this bundle for the "beat the average" price, which as of this writing is just under $6.

Dang I like some things in each pack - might have to get both.
