swt61
I've spent the last 3 days boarding up peoples homes and condos on this island. I don't really like that kind of work, but many of my customers don't know where else to turn. Most of my customers are in the very wealthy bracket, and I like to keep them happy. I just finished boarding up my own place 15 minutes ago, it's been a very long day. I have three more houses (mansions) to board up tomorrow, and then tomorrow night I'm hitting the road. Unless of coarse the storm (Ike) has moved significantly north by then. I have the motorhome loaded with groceries and fuel, and I have a reservation at a park in San Antonio. I should have internet access there, so I should pop in sometime Saturday.
guzziguy
I was about to start a thread asking how preparations for Ike were going for you. Good luck with them. Hopefully Ike will die down a lot before hitting land.

swt61
I don't think it's going to be a major catastrophe here, but I'd rather not take any chances.

Knuckledragger
This might not be the best time to ask, but does anyone have a link handy to a gallery of Steve's work? The contractor working on my house was talking about fine woodworking, and I showed him a few pix of Larry's stuff at Headphile. I wanted to show him some of Steve's work, but the only image I could dig up quickly was the iPod docks from the mitchb is an asshat auction. laxx
Someone get that custom stand Steve made that was horrendous! I am in no way saying Steve's work is bad. The person who contracted Steve to build the stand just had horrible taste.
GPH
I don't know about a gallery of his work, but here's a picture of a stand he made me for my OII:

n_maher
I'd wager that what we see in Steve's headphone stands represent the lowest common denominator in terms of his woodworking skills. And the stands are phenomenal.

lostonetr
Best of luck to ya. Stay safe. Are there multiple hurricanes hitting the south? I was talking to someone who just got back to New Orleans after evacuating to Atlanta, only to find out they might have to evacuate again. manaox2
Watching the news and it seems pretty horrible. Are all of you affected by more then just gas prices and money gouging OK? I hope that you have already managed to find a network connection safely.
