November 19, 200817 yr all of my geekier Internet savvy friends adore it, and the newer comics consistently make the digg front page. I've sat for hours at work sifting through their archives, and nary a chuckle escapes my lips. so I gave up on it.
November 19, 200817 yr You are not the only one. I get tired of inside (in this case, inside is the tech/geek crowd) jokes pretty quickly so xkcd became more of the same old really quickly.
November 19, 200817 yr i like it and check it on a regular basis. there are some gems...most recent one "a bunch of rocks" is pretty cool...not funny, but interesting way of looking at things generally, they're not funny and i never thought of them as funny, but very creative imo
November 19, 200817 yr I don't even know what it is but if Posty sat for hours trying to get a laugh it would seem he has too much time on his hands.
November 19, 200817 yr Thanks for reminding me. (wanders off to get a good laugh from the latest xkcd) Alright, it's not an "out-loud" laugh, it's more of an internal "virtual" laugh, but the endorphins are the same.
November 19, 200817 yr I don't think I've ever laughed at one, but sometimes they are just plain old clever or lovely. If you want to laugh at a webcomic, read Cyanide and Happiness.
November 19, 200817 yr I had to google it, but instantly recognized the artwork. I got a chuckle out of a few of them.
November 19, 200817 yr Yeah, definitely not laugh out loud funny but interesting enough half of the time that I keep it in my feed reader.
November 19, 200817 yr I inadvertently caused a shitstorm of epic proportions in the randompictures group by posting this graph.
November 19, 200817 yr xkcd's amusing. Not hilarious, but amusing. others to note: saturday morning breakfast cereal toothpaste for dinner
November 19, 200817 yr I inadvertently caused a shitstorm of epic proportions in the randompictures group by posting this graph. That thread is far funnier than many webcomics. I do occasionally laugh out loud at xkcd. It's not funny all the time or even most of the time by any means, but even when it's not funny I can still appreciate the thought patterns behind it. I'd rather look on the bright side too. I mean at least it's not CTRL-ALT-DEL.
November 19, 200817 yr I think it is one of the funniest things in the universe, but it definitely appeals to a certain type of person.
November 20, 200817 yr I find only about half of them funny...... mostly the ones that pick up on my own personality characteristics. In particular: But Dinosaur Comics? I jut don't get it I'm afraid \
November 20, 200817 yr What the fuck are you talking about? I am old. The end. Just a comic made by a gigantic nerd: xkcd - A Webcomic - Theft of the Magi
November 20, 200817 yr hehe, yeah, that was a really good one. i hate their "epic" comics, though. really, really hate. What is wrong with you?
November 20, 200817 yr XKCD is wonderful, thought provoking, icky, funny, amusing, weird, annoying, sad, happy, and delirious.
November 20, 200817 yr Dinosaur Comics is tremendous. No opposition from me here. They also make the best t-shirts of any webcomic I know of. I just feel that the majesty of the Great Outdoor Fight is not to be outdone.
November 20, 200817 yr Dinosaur Comics is tremendous. Almost as much as your mother. But Dino rules the schools.
December 1, 200817 yr i rather liked todays. Man, if I had a dollar every time that happened to me.... I'd have... $0.42.
December 1, 200817 yr I like xkcd, but not enough to read it daily. The epic ones are boring, and sometimes the science-as-religion is poured on a bit thick. I don't mind some of the inside jokes:
