Gang, the iPad Mini was a complete success.  He was so happy.  Thanks for the guidance!

32gb black AT&T.

Been waiting for this one since iPad 1. It's a shame they appear to have missed out on the awesome coming generation of quad-core SOCs, but I guess that'll come next year.

I think the new iPad features are great, but why not call it iPad HD or iPad 3?

I can't wait to see that screen.

It will become the Old New iPad when they release the Newer iPad next year and the Even Newer iPad the year after

With the not huge jump in price given whats new inside this thing one has to wonder just how big the profit margin was on the G1 and G2 iPads.

Somewhere between large and vast I wager.

iPad 1 is perfect for the Little Monkey if I decide to go for the 3.

I was thinking I might give mine to the kids, so I can actually use mine. How hard is it to move some apps to the new one, but keep some on the old?

Very easy if on same Apple account.

You can have multiple iPads on one account?

Edit: nice, I Googled it and found out how. Thanks!

Pretty handy dandy! I'll look more closely at iTunes when I have the chance. Sounds like I can easily plug in the new iPad, then click a couple of buttons, and choose what apps, music, and accounts show up on the new one?!

Still, much easier than I thought. And a good reason to keep the iPad 1 for the kids, then!

This is my thinking too. Alec bogarts the 1, Claire actually hides the 2 in her bedroom closet. Daddy needs a 3.

As an aside, downloaded the iOS version of iPhoto today to try it out. It's ridiculously slick!

Hmmm ... my two kids fight over my 1 all the time. My wife thinks I'm crazy to get the 3, when I have a 1 that is working ok, it's just not fast enough for me.

In fact, maybe I need to get TWO more so that each kid has one! :)

AutoCAD WS from Autodesk is also free and is an excellent tool for guys carrying drawings in the field for view and markup.

Looks like I bought an ipad3. Went to cancel my order online and it wouldn't let me (probably because I got my name engraved on it which was probably stupid).

Congrat, Apple made the right decision for you.

Shelly look at it this way, is $5000 a sane amount to spend on headphones? laugh.png
