July 22, 20178 yr I like how Mikey has recreated the feel of his favorite part of the Novato Costco on the left of the room.
July 30, 20178 yr Marc, firstly I love the latest turntable acquisition. And I know that your goal is to get the kids interested in audio/music. But don't you think that's a bit unnecessary for such a table?
July 30, 20178 yr I had envisioned something more adult, like this, but the Mickey one is good too...
August 5, 20178 yr Buddy wanted to listen to some vinyl, so I figured out a way to get the rig set up in a semi reasonable manner. Still need to mess with grounding the table and finish casing the pre, but its quiet and sounding good so eh. Edited August 5, 20178 yr by cetoole

August 7, 20178 yr It contains three remixes of two tracks, which are amusing and conveniently tough for my system to track, until I got things dialed in. Next:
August 12, 20178 yr Anyone need a good, budget turntable? Turntable Lab (and some others) are doing the Denon DP-300F for 199$, with an upgraded version with cork mat, an Ortofon 2M Red, and a carbon fibre brush for 269$.

George Blood is one of the masters in the craft of archiving audio and film. The guy has "been there and done that" from the early days of recording and has forgotten more than just about anybody else living knows about the development of the recording arts. Pretty cranky and ornery from what I can tell! Edited August 14, 20178 yr by ironbut

I recently bought The Atlantic years MONO box, and it sounds really nice compared to the super cheap DOL records i owned previously. Now i really need to borrow a proper stereo release from someone and compare it.
