Which digital input do you use and why?

Ditto but I will change it to a BNC soon. BNC input on my Audio Sector Dac1

USB because it's there.

Optical when on my desktop (ibasso D1 - sounds better via optical rather than USB) and usb (Pico DAC) when on my laptop.

BNC, because I can.

Not currently using any, but will be soon. I like AES/EBU. I found that it sounded noticeably better than the coaxial input on my last Opus DAC.

USB - COAX RCA - COAX RCA.

Where is the option for it doesn't matter?

If you have decent equipment, then you should be able to use any connection method without too much stress. Sure, you might be able to see jitter or a sloppy SPDIF signal on a scope, but IMHO audibility of such things is tenuous at best - unless you are very specifically listening for it.

At least you can measure it.

I voted RCA coaxial SPDIF since it's the most used link between the CEC CD transport and the Bidat DAC, or the Sony ES player into the DA11, but I'm using other connections depending on the setup:

Computer>USB>Lavry DA11

CEC CD Transport > AES/EBU> Lavry DA11

Sony CD > Toslink> Bidat

Firewire (iMac to Duet)

Coax (Squeezebox into Denon receiver)

anyone tried HDMI out from their computers to A/V receiver?
