It isn't confined to On-Semi. Rohm did the same thing with all their low noise offerings ages ago, So did Renesas with the J79/K216 - in fact lateral MOSFETs are a thing of the past. Most p-channel jF

there needs to be a Mouser Prime service

I'm adding a bass boost circuit to my balanced M3:

I've decided to go with 7kohm Rbb and 0.2uF Cbb.

Is 4 ea. of the following what I want?

if those parts will fit, yes. im sure the resistor would fit only question is if the cap is the correct physical dimensions

Lead spacing is 10mm so it should fit.

Thanks

Anyone used modushop.biz?  I had good luck with a previous build using one of the Galaxy cases, but have not found any dealers left in the States.  modushop has Galaxy, so that might be the best place for me.  I don't know.  Crap, where do people get aluminum cases these days?

Thanks.

Bought a few cases. Pretty sure they are the ones that make the galaxy so your just buying direct from the manufacturer and paying for shipping from Italy.

90% of my cases come from modushop and they are great to deal with.

You don't need a US dealer. Just buy directly from them.

UPS charged me around 10% import tax one time. That's only 1 out of 3 shipments that got charged, but you might still want to keep that in mind. Other than that, the cases are great.

Does anyone know where to buy a single piece of "shell Cordovan" leather?

I want to make a wallet.

got an email Parts Connexion has acquired some values of NOS Black Gate capacitors, if anyone wants to spend a lot of money on 6-7 year old electrolytics

I thought electrolytic lifetimes were quoted at load, do they just dry up sitting around?

dont know the answer to that. i would assume so. in my beginning DIY days the old caps in my dad's parts drawers would explode when i used them..with a liquidy substance! so i guess they were still moist

Edited by justin

They dry out simply sitting there.

...and on that note I'm so going to put my Black Gate stash on ebay soon.  :)

So this is gonna be a really dumb question, but that seems like a really good deal, and I want to buy my first soldering iron. They don't have the PS-CA2 coils on the site anymore, would the PS-CA3 coil work as a replacement? and then, which tips would you recommend buying for DIY amp building? theres so many to choose from on the site.

Anything from the PS900 should be interchangeable as they are pretty much the same device, albeit the 900 has a much nice chassis (die cast).  The chisel tips are what I use most of the time though I have pretty much every one they make.  SFV-CH25AR is what I've been using for the last few months....

Is there much difference between working with one of those and the standard Hakko?
