I'm finally getting around to listening to Sonny Rollins.

We've been at the lake house for a few weeks. Will listen to, Way Out West, when I get back to my vinyl rig.

Till then, Qobuz will have to suffice.

The last 45 minutes of the 48 hour memorial is playing. ;)

Cara Dillon - After The Morning.  A tender and beautiful voice, wonderful songs, several nice ballads with a touch of traditional Irish sound/instruments.  Great for a mellow Sunday morning.

Kessoncoda "Outerstate"

Outerstate | Kessoncoda

Full album

I really liked this. I don't even know how to describe it -- it's like somewhere between the jazz of Mammal Hands and GoGo Penguin, and ... post-rock?  IDK...

My shelves are filling up with Gondwana and ACT vinyl, so while doing a bit of cleaning I rescued these little gems.

Isao Suzuki

🇯🇵 JAPAN IMPORT 🇯🇵 Isao Suzuki Quartet + 1 – Blue City | 🇯🇵 Japan Imports 🇯🇵

Isao Suzuki Trio - Blow Up (2 LP) - Muziker

Black Orpheus: Isao Suzuki: Amazon.es: CD y vinilos}

I have the XRCD versions and although their price today is exorbitant, I must admit that they sound very, very good...

^^ still one of the great soundtracks.

Edit: This should be in the movie section - but thought I would drop it here.

^ I enjoyed this too.

BTW, Eva Hummingbird is a fictitious character set in 1940's war torn Europe who is a violinist, composer and double agent.

The actual producer, composer and violinist is, Ceskie.

Paul Mcartney - The Boys of Dungeon Lane

image.jpeg

I'm not going to say it's great. In fact, I never actually listened to a Paul Mcartney album before. I've just heard the popular songs on the radio, movies or wherever else they get played, but I thought he's in his 80s, the fact that he has a new album out made me curious and maybe nastalgic that arguably the most talented Beetle is still creating new stuff.

With low expectations you might enjoy it.
