March 3, 20215 yr Your neighborhood is really going to the birds. Your neighbor seems like a real turkey.

March 4, 20215 yr Actually yesterday, and you can probably guess why I did not post this yesterday. Third of four tastings done in Los Olivos.
March 9, 20215 yr Per the Don't Call It A Comeback thread, daughter Emily received this email today - " I am pleased to offer you admission into the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program at MGH Institute of Health Professions for the fall 2021 start term." MGH was founded by MasNoNoNoNoNoNosetts General Hospital and will give her tons of clinical experience and hopefully an inside track to a job upon graduation. Full time employment is a good thing. Love the autocorrect! Edited March 9, 20215 yr by Augsburger Prosecco for the masses!
March 9, 20215 yr ^^^ Here's to hoping that means at some point you can swing out to the east coast and we can enjoy boxed wine and decent BBQ?
March 9, 20215 yr Here's what I'm up to - taking maximum advantage of working from home. Redeye and toasted coconut chocolate chip scone Traeger preheating for pulled pork
March 21, 20215 yr Well, after the fly on my right hand in January... It wasn't too bad getting it but after the color and the shading it feels like someone removed the top layer of skin with a blow torch right about now

March 21, 20215 yr Was consolidating gear while cleaning the apartment, found two Rode NT-2As. I bought the newer one years ago, and the used one even longer ago than that. Never put together that I had two until today. Unmatched, completely different age, one used, one new...
March 25, 20215 yr Not intimate with hookah bar music myself but I think I get the idea. Most of the weird sounds are heavily processed trumpets. The whole thing kinda started with them and I just followed where they went.
March 26, 20215 yr I like it. If we can bring back outdoor BBQing again that would make perfect background music especially for the European visitors. They already think for some odd reason that I host strange BBQ events.
April 2, 20215 yr Milo and I hung and plumbed a range hood vent for the kitchen. Then we assembled the new tile saw and started tiling in the kitchen. It went pretty smooth. Milo is already pretty good at setting and cutting tile after only 4 hrs.

April 2, 20215 yr About 30 days. We'll require airline tickets to the nearest "real" airport, then tickets for the horse and buggy that takes us the rest of the way.

April 3, 20215 yr Had the lawnmower suddenly die on me out of nowhere today. Couldn't get it to start back up even with starter fluid, replaced the spark plug since it's been a while, still nothing. Spent a good chunk of time troubleshooting, narrowing it down to an ignition problem, and tracing out the wiring on it and eventually found that the safety interlock module failed and was keeping the magneto's kill wire grounded. Fortunately to finish up today I could just unplug the damn thing and it would run again, albeit with all safeties disabled. Gotta get a replacement for that before too long though...
April 3, 20215 yr Disabling all the safeties? Where have I heard that before? https://www.quotes.net/mquote/116836 It didn't seem to end well.

I'd had problems with the seat switch before, but not anything else. I didn't even know it had a solid state module managing the various safety switches. Edit: I did get a nice surprise from the fingers unintentionally touching the wire when I held the spark plug against the block to see if it was getting spark after I unplugged the safety interlock module though. That was entertaining. Edited April 3, 20215 yr by Fitz
