Email notifications seem to be working now for me.

The only obvious thing that isn't yet is the right rail watched topics thingie.

What a ton of work this must be for Todd!

Not sure if this is the right list for this - but head case seems to be dropping way down the list of hits on Google - certainly here in the UK. Currently 6-7th hit, used to be second.

no it's because i wasn't able to get the old url's forwarded, so right now google results are a mess of the old url's that don't work and the few new ones that they've added to their index.

I hear the welcome PM disappeared. :sadcat:

Is there any chance of bringing it back? It's a Head-Case tradition.

No, but it's no fun to not be able to tell people to read their welcome PM.

Yes, but you shouldn't be doing that.

Having no intention to get myself banned here, I'll go with what you say (I know I'm new, and many of you have never met me in person. I hope to rectify that sometime soon) though I will say I've been reading HC for almost three years and I'd like to think I know my way around and can contribute.

I really do think that some kind of welcome PM is important, and not just so that people coming here asking what's the best pair of closed headphones for $100 can be told to read it.

That has nothing to do with lecturing other members, tho.

I had no intention to lecture.

Anyway, getting back on topic, I have to say the new mobile skin is awesome, though I wish the chat room worked on mobile like it did with the old system. Nice work.

The new software looks mighty nice. However, I seem to be unable to get into my private messages now.

Specific error message text:

[#10226] You are not allowed to use the private messaging system.

And I'll stop being sarcastic to new members who post silly questions. :) I learn and laugh a lot here, and I appreciate the work you guys do to keep the forum running.

Edit: Fixed! That was quick. Thanks.

Not sure if I mentioned this before or not, but the system seems to lose track of what I've read. I'll have read something several days ago (example, something posted Feb. 3rd) and come back today to see it is now unread and appearing in the new items.

While I was browsing the forum with my phone, I accidentally clicked on something near the bottom that shows the full version of the forums (as seen by default on computers). Any way to revert it back to the mobile version?

There is a pop up menu (pulldown I guess for windoze) on the bottom left that controls IP.Board or IP.Board Mobile. I would guess you want the Mobile?

"View New Content" has been very tweaky all day today. Sometimes it pulls up my own last post in a thread and sometimes it has pulled up the same posts in successive executions -- grawk's camera sale post is in the list, click the link and view it, and then hit "View New Content" and there is no new content but the next time I come back to the forum and hipt "View New Content" it is there again.

I've been using the "Mark items as read" at the bottom every day or so, which helps.

Funny, but I used that a couple of times earlier today and was thinking that was the cause for the weirdness. :D

I get no new content when clicked from reading pm's or conversations. Perhaps it is weird from other places on the forum. It always works from the home page or any other thread.

It appears that it trys to get new content from whatever area you are in, If you are in PMs, it tries to get new PMs, etc. It should always fetch new forum content, not be tied to the area you are currently in.
