What's the forum policy regarding custom titles? They just appear and change suddenly? Who are the authorities here, anyway? I'm under the impression there's someone called Reks who acts a bit bossy, but several other members seem pushy and bossy as well. Is there anyone I can bribe in order to get a better title? I might be willing to cough up a NOS W11JPN or somesuch. A PFR-V1 is doable.

This is something I've been reflecting on of late, although not in a terribly somber way as the title of this thread may suggest. I guess living overseas (especially in a small place like Cayman) and being an audiophile don't really go hand in hand. The youngish ex-pats are on the beach, scuba diving, and hitting the bars. They don't have houses, they're not "settled" and don't ever expect to make Cayman their home, and they're definitely not thinking about going off-Island to some geeky headphone meet! On the other hand, the more "settled" population in Grand Cayman is, well... settled. Settled in their ways, settled with their work lives, settled with their c…

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/25/arts/music/25tomm.html?pagewanted=1&ref=music Every time I read an article in a mainstream media about sound quality, it inevitably gets the whole thing wrong.

Does anyone here have a fancy robot that goes around doing the boring dirty work, cleaning all the vacuum at home? I was thinking perhaps the Roomba could work... but I'm not sure if it's the Stax of vacuum cleaners, or if it's more like the Bose of floor sweeping robots. Do you have a robot floor sweeper at home? Is it good?

Does anyone use or have experience with memory foam pillows? Memory foam is like the coolest thing with bedding, or at least when I see them at the department stores, but I wonder how memory foam in pillow form works out...

so while driving back from school with my dad (picked him up from his office on the way home) we were talking about fireworks on 4th of july and i jokingly suggested that we take a trip to orlando and spend some time at the theme parks. oddly enough he said yes. neither of my parents have ever been there so it should be a great trip. going to leave tomorrow after my classes and then come back on sunday. looking forward to a good time.

Adieu old friend. Thunderstruck! When we met we immediately fell head over heels in love. You were shivering on the cold ground and I picked you up and put you inside my coat. You and I bonded immediately. A bond that can never break. Birds. Oh my, the birds we sought and brought home. Endless hours together both doing what we loved most. I still have my first spent shell and feather from your first ruffed grouse. So many happy memories. And the bond We were always one. Always together. Always a team. Always forgiving each other for our faults and rejoicing in our successes. One heart. One mind. Together. That, my friend, is what I will miss the most. I will miss bein…
