  3. I was traveling back home on a business trip and put my electronics away which included my imod, pico and x10 headphones into its case. I put it into the pouch in front of my seat and forgot to take it out. I didn't realize I had left it on the plane, until I got home that night I've called the airline baggage service who told me to call lost & found. I called lost & found and left my name, number, description, etc. and the message said they would call if they found my lost article. I don't give it much of a chance of turning up Anyone else have any similar experiences?

How is it that we have gone this long without a thread for puns? Was it oversight, or simply good taste? I thought this kickstarter campaign was a little fishy and wanted to share with you: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2078545510/the-salmon-leather-project

So what was your favourite movie of 2005? A couple of mine: Batman Begins Constantine Howl's Moving Castle Mirrormask Sin City Wallace & Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit ...can't think of any others, but I'm sure I'm forgetting some... I would have said: Appleseed, Steamboy, and Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, but those are all 2004.

  15. Hey, I think topic is as worthy as any. People just amaze me with the crap they can come up with. I was just browsing Audiogon and ran into this ad: Hms Gran Finale, Top Match with the new For Sale | AudiogoN My favorite bits were: "I am not still sure they use them but I was told that NASA uses/used his power cables." "I will be glad to answer any serious questions and I do have a Associate Degree in Electronics from a local college back in 87'." "May God Bless Our Troops and Their Families and End This War SOON!" Huh? Anyway, I thought it would be fun to have a thread that is dedicated to the stupid shit people write in for sale ads. Hopefully it w…

So it's time. My aging body along with living in the smartphone world means it's time to enter bi/tri-focal/multi-focus-land. Less irritated with a new milestone of aging (that would be the recent asymmetrical stage of balding), than giving up full-range scanning, tilting/lying down head without regard of planes, losing lens areas of usability, focal points being worse than single vision for far and no glasses for near, etc. But maybe my fears are unfounded or exaggerated? Or if founded worth it? Or resistance is futile? Considering the Zeiss Progressives: http://vision.zeiss.com/eye-care-professionals/en_us/products-and-technologies/lenses/zeiss-progressive-individual-…

Some of you may be aware that in mid April I had Gastrointestinal bypass surgery. It appeared to go really well. I was recovering/responding better than anyone I've ever heard of. Then in May A Gout flareup started (I'd never been officially diagnosed with Gout, but I might have had 3-4 brief (2-3 day) flareups over the last 15 years), it was misdiagnosed at the ER which directly resulted in my having a severe G.I. bleed. I ended up almost dying, spent six days in the hospital (where I received 12 units of Plasma and 9 Units of Whole Blood). To make a long story shorter I'm still fighting the same Gout Flareup. 3 Fucking months and on-going. The last month I've been on…

Thinking about getting an upright vacuum to use on the carpets. Right now I have a canister vacuum (cheapest Miele) and it is a real pain to use (I hate pulling around the canister... it keeps getting stuck. Also the vacuum has a very small head and it is really meant for hardwood floor/rugs). I was thinking of getting the Miele Jazz but I then reading up on vacuums, Sebo vacuums seem to be better. Anyone used a Sebo vacuum before? Where would I buy one? Needs to have: HEPA filter, uses bags (not bagless) and it would be nice if it were easy to find the bags locally, upright, lots of suction.

Not sure if anyone would have any interest, outside of maybe Steve and his apprentice, but the new neighbors brought over a blueberry pie and full photo documentation of the build of the house. What was sold as and listed for taxes as a 1972 home with renovations, would appear to be a near complete tear down and new build. Note the sweet green fridge in many of the pictures and the worker riding the chimney like a bull before it collapsed through the floor into the basement. They tell us the chimney was going to be the only thing kept, until that. House Build
