When I am in the store trying some new stuff I just cant choose a single shit from it. Just today tried 10 CD's and only one came a bit closer to my liking, so, I am starting to asking myself: "Whats wrong with me?" I listen to a lot of differ gengres, not all kind, but still, but seems that my collection arent going to be huge, ever... For example R.Blackmore's last project, Blackmore's Night, I HATE every single piece of it. I forced myself to buy double live CD and after just couple of minutes I am done... On the other hand, J.Lord write pretty cool music, after leaving DP. Am I dumb to understand or just to old fashion, inflexible ass:asshat:

As some of you know, I have been training for the past couple months to participate in 165-mile cycling event from Miami to Key West on November 16 & 17th. The Smart Ride (this is the 9th annual event) raises money for direct service HIV/AIDs organizations in Florida, and what I like about this charity ride is that the cost of the event is covered by the riders' fees and donations from separate fund raising events, and 100% of the money raised by the riders goes directly to the organizations. Each rider agrees to raise $1250, and in my normal, lame, wait-to-the-last-minute style, I am just now starting to raise funds. A co-worker and fellow rider made the first don…

I was originally going to post this in Slow Forum, but it requires a bit more reader interaction than that thread usually has. Here is a bunch of food types cut in to cubes. How many can you identify?

Bowie would have been 71 today and in two days it'll be the annie of his death. Just noticed that Rick Wakeman played keys on Hunky Dory (Changes, Life on Mars etc). Still seems impossible that he won't surprise us with revelation again!

Hello Off-Topic Forum- Well the year is finally up, and what a year it has been! America got a new president of the united states, the war in somalia finally saved the black hawks from extinction, and ray samuels came out with a new amp/dac combo called "The Predation". Of course all this means its time once again to vote for your favorite imaginary headcaser. These are basically five names I sat here at work and came up with. The winner will receive a prestigeous plaque and an indigienous culture person for their home.

That there is a rule in the other forum that linking to or mentioning of head-case is not allowed. I actually just mentioned head-case as we were talking about what (mbd) Ruckus posted here recently. Though the mod was polite enough to tell me that he edited/deleted some of my posts Anyway, I know most of you guys already know about that rule, but I was really surprised that such a rule exists and is being implemented very strictly. I actually searched the other site for posts using the term head-case and, most of the results were links to the smilies used in this forum, I guess those are allowed

A friend and myself are considering spending next summer in Berkeley, Ca working on mcat prep. The classes are held on the Berkeley campus for 12 weeks starting around may 20th. Could the locals or Cali residents offer any insights on the area, transportation ease, cost of living including rent and food etc? We have options of irvine, San Diego and a couple of other cities but berkeley seems to have the best teachers so I'm looking at that first. The cost of attendance is the same for all locations so I'd like to stick to Berkeley unless the cost of living is absurdly less in other cities. Gross estimates for 3 months would be very helpful in helping us plan how much to s…

It is with great pleasure I bring you one of my most ambitious projects, Photography in Medicine. The idea was born of some random discussions my advisor and I had over the summer and after incessantly annoying, emailing and calling a lot of people, it has finally come to fruition. You can read more about it at www.photographyinmedicine.org. Chris Evert Children’s Hospital has graciously allowed full access to their general pediatric, pediatric oncology and pediatric ICU wards where we will give the admitted children cameras and go around with them taking pictures of whatever they find interesting. The hospital plans on displaying the images in their main lobby in Mar…

Good Morning Head Case! Figured I'd tap into the collective experience of all you fine people to see if anyone has any thoughts on this. Melody and I are considering selling our 2 bedroom/1 bathroom 1200 sq. ft. house and purchasing a 2 bedroom/2.5 bathroom 2500 sq. ft. townhouse. Here are the facts: -My parents are currently living in this townhouse, and are looking to move, so I'd be buying it from them. I have no idea how much they'd sell it for, we haven't gotten that far, but I know we'd be able to get it for well under market, which is really why we are even considering it. Added bonus is buying from my Dad will be easy. -It's in a great part of …

Recently, I became a member of the Board of Directors of the Communities of Belonging Organization. We strive to help marginalized individuals get the resources they need to persevere and re-enter society successfully. https://communitiesofbelonging.org/ As a part of April being 2nd Chance Month, we are holding a walk to raise awareness and funds to support our vision. We will be walking around Green Lake in Northern Seattle (for any locals in the area). If you would like to be a sponsor, I have setup a team on our Givebutter site. Please take a look. https://givebutter.com/XXcbAZ/michaelmaddock Please feel free to ping me with any questions and than…
