This is something I've been reflecting on of late, although not in a terribly somber way as the title of this thread may suggest. I guess living overseas (especially in a small place like Cayman) and being an audiophile don't really go hand in hand. The youngish ex-pats are on the beach, scuba diving, and hitting the bars. They don't have houses, they're not "settled" and don't ever expect to make Cayman their home, and they're definitely not thinking about going off-Island to some geeky headphone meet! Nechama and I will be going to Montreal in about a week because I have never been and thought it could be cool. Anyone have any advice on stuff that we absolutely must see or do? Anything we must *not* waste our time seeing or doing? So far my plans involve photography in the old city, and that's about it.

I am currently reading Kirkman's Walking Dead series. It's quite good, quite "human" -- reminds me a lot of Y: The Last Man, in a lot of ways (apocalyptic epic).

I bought a used PS3 and it came with a sealed copy of nba 2k7. I really don't like sports games and would like to return it but of course don't have a receipt. Are there any places that still make returns with out a receipt?

Decided to go visit one of our upstate Pizza emporiums the other night Even though it's upstate, we have an internet Jukebox on the wall It plays all the popular songs Ordered a large pie (Hey, what did you expect, it's not Manhattan, it's upstate) Figured I'd put a little hot pepper on it, but someone rigged the cap to come off with a few shakes.... ha ha ha nice prank

So, we just booked our holiday...1 week to Berlin, hopefully we can get the week after that off too but that's not very sure (we both work for the same company). I'm so happy we have our vacation planned finally! At least one week of not having to think about work yihaa! So how 'bout yours...??
