Wasn't Apple promising 24 bit resolution for the iTunes store? What ever happend with that?

I made some inoffensive-looking weights for the weighty part of a Rega counterweight from egg-shaped fishing sinkers. They were pretty easy to work with (hacksaw, file, sandpaper and paint)

How did that work out?

I once went to some sort of event with a policeman I knew. Afterwards a little kids asks the cop if he wears a bulletproof vest. "No.", he says, "I work in the office. I would only need the back panel anyway." The kid didn't seem to get it. No worries about that here. We're more into a full frontal sort of attack. That was a pretty nice review, btw. Smoke image. Most excellent as long as he stayed on point. I loved the bit about the color of the knob. Not that I would commit such a thing to a review, but while the DAC was at my house, my friends and I did discuss who would make the artisan after-market wooden front panels and knobs.

My sister arrived for the holiday (we're time-shifting Christmas to Tuesday). She hasn't been here for several years. We're thrilled to have her in town. Hats off to Miguel's coworkers! A main artery from his water works burst last night, cutting the water to four cities. It was a 42 inch main. Everybody expected a waterless Christmas. These guys had the water back on in three hours. Way to go! Merry Christmas everybody!
